Crazy For Cupcakes

Hi Stamping Friends!

I've told you about having my cards for sale at Goodies Cookies in Visalia.  Well I was so excited about having to make more cards (and use up lots of leftover stuff!) that I made about 70 cards!  I brought more of them over there on Tuesday.  I also went out on a limb and stopped at a new cupcake bakery, also in Visalia, called the Frosted Muffin.  I stopped in to see if they would be interested in selling my cards as well.  Now I'm just a nervous wreck waiting to hear back from them!  So I decided to use that nervous energy to make a cupcake card, in hopes that I will have a place to sell it!

Of course I combined two challenges.  The color challenge comes from Stacey's Stamping Stage Curtain Call Act 9.  And I have to say, that this was a tough color combo!  The sketch is based on the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge SSSC42 from Karen Giron's blog: the sweetest thing.

Please try to ignore the ugly photo.  I took it after dark (darn this time change!) and couldn't get enough light on it. And I don't like to use my flash.  So here it is:

If you're wondering where the Real Red is, it's on the cherries!  They are also nice and shiny with Crystal Effects.  I added some Crushed Curry "sprinkles" to the frosting.  As you can see, I took some liberties with the sketch, but I think I still stayed close to the original.  The card base is Pink Passion layered with Basic Black and then Whisper White.  The ribbon is Crushed Curry Polka Dot Grosgrain.  Everything else is pretty self-explanatory.  Well here's hoping I'll be able to sell this one at the Frosted Muffin!

Happy Stamping!

Very cute! Do you leave samples when inquire about selling your cards? This one would have sold them on the idea!

Your double challenge card is fabulous! I love the way you encorporated the colors with Karen's sketch:). And, yes...I noticed the red cherries right away! Thanks so much for playing the Curtain Call!
