Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge #33

Hi Stamping Freinds!!!
I'm so glad you stopped by today!!  I've just been having the best time stamping the last couple of days.  I can't remember the last time I've had this much time to do this much stamping.  Now I know what my retirement is going to look like.  Nothing but stamping all day!!  :)

Today's card is for the inspiration challenge over at the Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge.  We hope you will come celebrate with us and play along in our little challenge.  We would love to see what you've been stamping too.  This week we are celebrating in style with a black tie New Year's party.  I love all the silver and sparkle!!

FIFTH AVENUE FLORAL

It's such a bummer that I overexposed this photo.  You don't get to see how it sparkles and shines like IRL.  I used the Brushed Silver cardstock as my base.  Then embossed a piece of Basic Black with the Manhattan Flower Embossing Folder.  Below that I layered a piece of Wicked Fun DSP.  I really wanted to use Purely Pomegarante for this card, because that is the color I see in the photos.  But since PP is discontinued, I decided to use Rich Razzleberry instead.  I really like the silver, black and Razzleberry together.

Where the two papers meet, I added a strip of Silver Glass Glitter.  Oh my!!!  This is my first time using the Glass Glitter (I know, I'm so behind the trends!) and I am in LOVE!!!  This stuff is so sparkly IRL.  It's just gorgeous!!  Then I layered one half of a silver Top Note.  The big, beautiful rose comes from the Fifth Avenue Floral set.  Love the modern look of this set.  I heat embossed two roses with black embossing powder.  Then I cut them out and layered them.  Gives it a wonderful 3-D effect.  I made the Glass Glitter "leaves" by using a piece of the Sticky Pages and adhering one side to a piece of cardstock.  Then I ran it through my Big Shot using the Table Setting die.  Then I exposed the other sticky side and smooshed lots of shimmery Glass glitter onto it.  I cut in half, so I would have two "leaves".  Then adhered it to my card.  I finished it all off with some Basic Rhinestones and Taffetta ribbon.  The sentiment is from a retired set called A Little Birthday Cheer.

This super fun sketch comes from my favorite Stampin' Up! online hangout... Stampin' Addicts.  December is "do-over" month, so this is sketch SASC57.  And this creation definitely qualifies for the two Bring on the Bling challenges going on at SUO Challenges and Hand Stamped Sentiments!  There's not much more bling you could add to this baby!

Speaking of Stampin' Addicts, I am soooooo excited because starting tomorrow we are hosting a Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Blog Hop!!!  You will not want to miss this hop.  There are 20+ amazing stampers showcasing tons of new goodies from the SU! Occasions Mini Catalog that you can begin ordering from on January 4th.  Here's a link to all the fabulous stampers that will be partcipating in the hop:  SA OCCASIONS BLOG HOP.

Yours truly will be the last stop in the hop.  And I can't wait to show you the projects I made!!  I had the most fun playing with my new stamping toys.  I even came up with a new-to-me technique.  You will have to stop back by tomorrow and see what everyone has created.

And be sure to stop by the Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge blog and see what the other fabulous Design Team members have made as well.  There's a whole lotta talent there!  And I hope you can play along with us!

Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Stamping!

Love the way you popped the center of the rose up for dimension! I knew as soon as I saw this card it was "Bring on the Bling"!

I love how you combined the different elements. The colors are so elegant and the silver glitter adds the right sparkle and bling. Thanks so much for playing at Hand Stamped Sentiments.
