Stampin' Up! Acorny Thank You

Hi Stamping Friends!!

Choosing stamp sets out of the Holiday Catalog is always a challenge for me because I WANT IT ALL!! After I whittle down my list to something my bank account can afford, and finally (after much hemming and hawing) I place my order, only to browse the web and find amazing samples of some set that I did not order.

That's how I ended up getting Acorny Thank You added to my collection. I was not going to buy another "fall" set. I didn't need one. Even if it did have a matching punch (I'm a sucker for any stamp set that has matching tools). But lo and behold I caved.

Here is a card we made at my Tulare County Class last Sunday:

Stamps: Acorny Thank You
Ink: Early Espresso
Paper: Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Corrugated Paper, Gold Glimmer, Old Retired DSP that I don't know the name of :)
Accessories: Woodland EF, Acorn Builder Punch, 2 1/2" Circle Punch, Leaflets Framelits

I based this design off of something fancier that I saw on the interweb. I wanted to simplify mine to show my stampers that you can make a cute, quick card that can be done in a few minutes. Not everything needs to have all the bells and whistles.

I'm doing a similar card for my monthly thank you cards. Here is what the beginnings of two dozen cards looks like:

I still need to stamp and punch out my acorn topper and stamp my "thank you" sentiment onto the circle, but I have the majority of the pieces all ready to go. When I mass produce cards, I usually start from the base up. I will glue the Woodland embossed Very Vanilla piece onto the Soft Suede card bases. Then add the "wood" strip to the front. Then the circle, the leaf and finally the acorn. I like adding one detail at a time instead of trying to finish each card individually.

Just a reminder...
Monday is the last day to order the Vintage Leaves bundle and still participate in my Online Card Class.

Here are the details:
