Stampin' Up! Botanical Blooms Sunburst

Hi Stamping Friends!!

Every time I create the kits for my online card classes, I always end up having one favorite card. This is my favorite card in this set...

I love all the bright, tropical colors of the flowers.

Kit Includes:

1 - Crumb Cake card base

1 - Crumb Cake card front embossed with the Woodgrain EF

1 - Burlap Ribbon (retired)

Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Hello Honey, Old Olive, Mossy Meadow cardstock for cutting

2 - Black brads

The only difficult thing about this card is cutting out all of your flower pieces. The flowers go together quickly if you use Glue Dots. For the leaves I used the same color ink as the cardstock. If you do not have Mossy Meadow ink, you can just use Old Olive on all of the leaves.

Looks like I forgot to add a Whisper White banner. It's probably best. That way you can create whatever size you need. The "It's Your Day" sentiment comes from the Sunburst Sayings set, but you can use any sentiment you desire. Or leave it with no sentiment and let the flowers be the center of attention.

I have two more Botanical Blooms cards to share. Usually I only include four cards in the online card kits, but since I was so late getting these out, I added an extra "apology" kit. ;)

Stampin' Up! Sunburst Sayings Shine

Hi Stamping Friends!!

Happy Saturday!! What are you up to today? Cleaning? Stamping? Kids' sports?

Me? I'm celebrating my dad's 70th birthday!! Crazy thing is it feels just like yesterday that we were celebrating his 40th birthday. They are not kidding when they say that time speeds up the older you get!!

Here is my final Sunburst Sayings class card:

Stamps: Sunburst Sayings

Ink: Basic Black, Versamark

Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Gold Foil, Gold Glimmer

Accessories: Sunburst Thinlit, 2" Circle Punch, Lucky Stars EF, Gold EP, Gold Sequin Trim, Gold Ribbon

Kit includes:

1 - Whisper White card base

1 - Basic Black embossed card front

1 - Gold Foil 4x4 square

1 - Gold Glimmer circle

1 - Basic Black circle

1 - Whisper White circle

1 - Whisper White strip

1 - Gold Sequin Trim piece

1 - Gold Ribbon long

1 - Gold Ribbon short

Instructions:

Using your Sunburst Thinlit, cut a sunburst out of the Gold Foil square and the Gold Glimmer circle.

Attach the Gold Foil sunburst onto the Basic Black embossed card front at an angle using Liquid Glue or SNAIL. Trim the edges.

Attach the Basic Black embossed card front onto the Whisper White card base.

Attach the Gold Glimmer sunburst circle onto the Gold Foil sunburst with Dimensionals. The two sunburst should line up. Just keep turning the glimmer circle until you find the right spot.

Stamp the "Shine" sentiment onto the Basic Black circle using Versamark ink. Heat emboss with Gold embossing powder. If you do not have Gold EP, then use the Whisper White circle and stamp the "Shine" sentiment in Basic Black

Attach the "Shine" circle to the Gold Glimmer circle using Dimensionals.

Stamp the "it's your day" sentiment with Basic Black ink onto the Whisper White strip. Trim the edges with your scissors or the Banner punch. 

Attach the "it's your day" sentiment strip onto the "Shine" circle.

Tie the long Gold ribbon around the top of your card.

Tie the Gold Sequin Trim to your card using the shorter Gold Ribbon.

And now you have completed all four of the cards in your kit!!

I think this card is perfect for a graduation or other special occasion like maybe a dance recital or that for special actor/musician who is planning on starring in a spring performance. Whoever you give it to, I'm sure it will put a smile on their face. :)

Stampin' Up! Sunburst Sayings Brighten My Day

Hi Stamping Friends!!

YAY!! It's Friday!! My most favorite day of the week!!

I love my job as an Instructional Assistant. There is just something fun about Friday's on a high school campus. EVERYBODY is looking forward to the weekend!!

We had a bit of rain at the beginning of the week. This is the perfect card to finish off the week with.

Stamps: Sunburst Sayings

Ink: Bermuda Bay

Paper: Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Shine On DSP, Have a Cuppa DSP, Vellum

Accessories: Sunburst Thinlit, Tree Builder Punch (clouds), Circle Punches, Bermuda Bay (retired)

Kit includes:

1 - Bermuda Bay card base

1 - Shine On DSP card front

1 - Crushed Curry piece for sunburst

1 - Have a Cuppa DSP circle

1 - Crushed Curry circle

2 - Vellum "clouds"

1 - Bermuda Bay ribbon

Instructions:

Using the Crushed Curry cardstock piece and your Sunburst Thinlit, cut out a sunburst.

Attach the Shine On DSP card front onto the Bermuda Bay card base.

Attach the Crushed Curry sunburst onto the Shine On card front using Dimensionals.

Stamp the "you brighten my day" sentiment onto the Crushed Curry circle using Bermuda Bay ink. Basic Black ink would also work.

Attach the Have a cuppa DSP circle onto the Crushed Curry sunburst using Liquid Glue or SNAIL.

Attach the Crushed Curry sentiment circle onto the Have a Cuppa circle using Dimensionals.

Attach the vellum "clouds" under the Crushed Curry circle using Glue Dots.

Tie the Bermuda Bay ribbon around the card.

Don't you just love the shiny raindrops on Shine On DSP? I thought they were just perfect for this card. I can't wait to use more of the Shine On Specialty DSP. It is super thick and I love the shiny patterns. Stampin' Up! is always coming up with more great products I never knew I needed!! ;)

Today I have the second card from my Sunburst Sayings Online Stamp Class. This one got props from the 10 year old, so I hope you like it too. :)

Stamps: Sunburst Sayings

Ink: Bermuda Bay

Paper: Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Cherry On Top DSP, Have a Cuppa DSP

Accessories: Sunburst Thinlit, 2 1/2" Circle Punch, Banner Triple Punch, Bermuda Bay Stitched Ribbon, Silver Sequin Trim

The kit includes:

1 - Bermuda Bay card base

1 - Daffodil Delight piece for "sunburst'

1 - Whisper White circle

1 - Cherry on Top banner

1 - Have a Cuppa banner

1 - Daffodil Delight strip for sentiment

1 - Bermuda Bay Stitched Ribbon piece

1 - Silver Sequin Trim piece

Instructions:

Using the Daffodil Delight piece and your Sunburst Thinlit, cut out a sunburst.

Attach the Daffodil Delight sunburst to the Bermuda Bay card base using Liquid Glue or SNAIL.

Stamp the "Thanks" sentiment onto the Whisper White circle using Bermuda Bay ink.

Attach the Whisper White circle to the card front using Dimensionals.

Attach both banners under the circle using Glue Dots or SNAIL.

Attach the Bermuda Bay ribbon and the sequin trim under the circle using Glue Dots.

Stamp the "you're the best" sentiment onto the Daffodil Delight strip.

Trim the edges of the strip with your scissors or by slipping it under the banner punch like so:

Attach the sentiment strip onto the Whisper White circle using Dimensionals.

I wish I would have thought to use the line of dots stamp on each of the sunburst rays in Daffodil Delight. I think it would have given this card a little extra "wow" factor. Maybe you could try it and show me how it looks.

I love that this card is so fast and easy and can be used for any occasion by just changing up the sentiments. It can also take on a different look by using different colors and patterns of paper. The sky is the limit. Get creative!!

Stampin' Up! Sunburst Sayings Birthday

HI Stamping Friends!!

Today I will begin sharing the four cards from my Sunburst Sayings Online Card Class. There are so many fun techniques you can do using the Sunburst Thinlit. I kept my pretty simple so as to not overwhelm my class participants. ;)

The first card is a birthday card:

Stamps: Sunburst Sayings

Ink: Bermuda Bay, Old Olive

Paper: Hello Honey, Whisper White, Old Olive, Calypso Coral, Blackberry Bliss, Wildflower Fileds DSP (SAB)

Accessories: Sunburst Thinlit, Balloon Framleits, Balloon Bouquet Punch, Baker's Twine

The kit includes:

1 - Hello Honey card base

1 - Wildflower Fields card front

1 - Whisper White sheet to use with Sunburst Thinlit

1 - Large Old Olive balloon

3 - various balloons

Baker's Twine

Instructions:

Attach the Wildflower Fields DSP to the front of the Hello Honey card base.

Cut out a "sunburst" using your Sunburst Thinlit and the Whisper White cardstock.

Attach the Whisper White Sunburst to the card front using Dimensionals.

Using the "dots" image, stamp some Old Olive polka dots onto the Old Olive balloon.

Stamp the "Happy Birthday to you" sentiment using Bermuda Bay ink (Basic Black would also work) onto the Hello Honey balloon.

Cut the Baker's Twine to fit.

Attach the Baker's Twine to the back of the balloons using Scotch Tape.

Attach the balloons to the card front using Dimensionals.

Tie the "strings" together. 

Use a Glue Dot to keep the Baker's Twine in place.

I love how the bright, colorful DSP peeks out through the sunburst. It makes me think of confetti. So fun and easy!!

Stampin' Up! Sunburst Blessed by God Easter

Have you ever had one of those stamping moments when you get an idea in your head and you just HAVE to make that card right NOW?! That's kind of what happened with this card.

I saw a darling Easter banner designed by Erica Cerwin at Pink Buckaroo Designs and it inspired me to create this card. I'm not happy with the grass and "hills" and I think the sun rays need a little bit of sponging on them. So I suppose I will just "have" to keep playing around with this design and see how I can improve it. :)

I am just not feeling this card. I think it is a fun way to use the Sunburst Thinlit, but the card just "needs" something. And I just can't figure out what it is. So it's a reject.
