More Elegant Blessings!!

Hi Stamping Friends!!

I just wanted to share a couple more cards we will be stamping on Saturday, May 4th at my Elegant Blessings card class. Come join us!! We would love to have you!! We always have an amazing time stamping, and laughing together. It's good for the soul. :)

I have a love/hate relationship with the release of the new Stampin' Up! catalog every year. I absolutley LOVE to get new stamps and accessories and colors. But I hate to let go of all the things that retire to make room for all the new goodies. I wish we could just keep it all and get new!!

After I created these two cards, I realized that a few items I used will not be in the next catalog. On the top card, the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder and Pretty In Pink card stock and button are on the retirement list. And on the bottom card, the Elegant Lines folder and the Rose Red Seam Binding are also retiring.

If you haven't had a chance to shop the retirement list yet, you may want to do it soon. Some accessories are already sold out!! Stop by my online store by clicking on the SHOP NOW button on the sidebar.

Elegant Blessings Card Class Coming Soon!!

Hi Stamping Friends!!

If you haven't signed up for my Elegant Blessings card class, there's still time!! I have only 3 spots still available. Here are two cards that we will be making that day.

I always love pink and purple color combos. They are just so "girly". This card uses Trust God and Papillon Potpourri. It also uses Secret Garden and the coordinating Framelits. It is available in the Spring Mini Catalog.

This card uses the two stamps you get with your class registration: Trust God and Papillon Potpourri. It also uses one of my favorite sets, Mixed Bunch. Love that it has a matching punch.

If you are interested in signing up for the class, here are the details:

Stay tuned tomorrow for the Retirement List. Stampin' Up! is getting ready for the new catalog in June and they need to make room for all the exciting new products!! Remember, retired stamps set will be available until the end of the current catalog, but all accessories (including ribbon and Sizzix items) are sold until supplies last. So if you want something, you better order early. Wait too long and it may be gone!!!

April Club Card

Hi Stamping Friends!!

Just wanted to share another one of the cards we made at our April Stamp Club.

Stamps:  Oh, Hello
Paper:  Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, So Saffron, Island Indigo, Old Olive, Tea For Two DSP
Accessories:  Oval Framelits, Delicate Lace Tape, Flower Trim, Bird Punch, White Craft Ink

I CASEd this layout from one I'd seen on the internet. I changed up the papers. I've always loved blue and yellow together. My favorite accessorie right now is the Flower Trim (pretty sure it is on backorder though). I love how easy it is to cut the flowers apart. I also showed my gals how to color them by smooshing them onto an ink pad and then spritzing them with water. So super easy!!

Don't forget to take advatage of a few of the offers that end on April 30th!!

I hope you have a great day!

Creative Opportunities

Hi Stamping Friends!!

Well I had quite the busy stamping weekend!! On Saturday I had 8 stampers over for 4 hours for my Bring on the Cake birthday card class. Then on Sunday, I had my regular monthly stamp club over for a couple of hours. It worked out kind of nice to schedule them back-to-back, because I only had to clean my house once!!

Here is the CASEd card we made on Sunday using the Secret Garden Bundle:

Stamps:  Secret Garden, Blessings From Heaven
Paper: Gumball Green, Primrose Petals, Very Vanilla

At least this is what the card looked like before the class started. Here is what it looked like after 6 busy stampers were working with a table full of supplies:

Ooops!! A little ink pad accident! Since I'm way to lazy to pull a card completely apart to fix it, I had the opportunity to be creative!! I'm always telling my stampers that mistakes are just opportunities for creativity. And here is the perfect example! Here is what I did to "fix" this card:

I think the "redo" turned out pretty good! I really had fun inking up my Secret Garden set for the first time. I was hesitant to buy "another" flower set, but since so many of my stamp club ladies had already purchased it, I thought I better get it too and show them how to use it. We stamped the flowers with VersaMark ink onto Primrose Petal card stock and then embossed it with white embossing powder. After using the coordinating Framelits to cut them out, we dabbed a little Primrose Petal ink into the center of each flower using the sponge daubers. Super easy and elegant!!! I can't wait to use this set again!

Another "creative opportunity" for you is to become a Stampin' Up! demonstrtor. Then you too can have super fun stamping weekends!! And right now is an awesome time to become a demonstrator. Now through May 30th, you will receive and extra $30 in products in your Starter Kit and it is still only $99!!!

You can also get $30 in extra FREE PRODUCTS when you host a $350 workshop. So contact me today and schedule your personal crafting experience!!

Tea For Two!!

Hi Stamping Friends!!

I know you haven't heard much from me this week, but that's because I've been busy, busy, busy!! But it was stamping busy so it was tons of fun!!

I've been preparing for my Bring On The Cake birthday card class which is today at 2pm. That is 9 different cards for 8 stampers.

Plus, I've been getting ready for my monthly stamp club which is on Sunday. That is 4 different cards for 6 stampers.

And I made and mailed 22 baby shower invites for my precious little niece.

So I've prepped and cut 118 cards this week!!!

Here is the invite I created for little Miss Ellie Ann

Stamps: Everything Eleanor, Tea Shoppe, Polka Dot BG
Paper: Pretty In Pink, Certainly Celery, Whisper White
Accessories: Retired Grograin Ribbon, Vintage Wallpaper EF, Framelits, Pearls

Have you heard about Stampin' Up!'s Color Refresh they announced last week? Every 3-5 years they update their color pallette. It's always difficult to say goodbye to well-loved colors. But it is always fun to say hello to new ones!! This card uses two recently retired colors, Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery. I think they are the only two colors that I may actually miss. Pretty In Pink is just the perfect shade of bubble gum pink. And Certainly Celery has always been a favorite of mine since I started buying SU! products back in 2003!!

If you like to stock up on retired colors, you better hurry. All of the re-inkers for all of the colors are already sold out. And the Not Quite Navy card stock is also sold out. So don't wait. Visit my online store today!!

As you can tell, we are going to have a tea party theme for the shower. Miss Ellie Ann arrived about 4 weeks early. With the flu season in full gear, her doctor told her mom and dad to keep her at home, away from public for 6 weeks. Smart doc!! Keep that baby healthy!! So this shower will kind of like be her debut. :) I can't wait!!

If you missed out on the Bring On The Cake birthday class, I've scheduled my next class, Elegant Blessings. Here are the details:

I hope you can make it!!!

Bring on the Cake and FREE shipping!!

Hi Stamping Friends!!

My Bring on the Cake birthday card class is getting closer!!! Only 9 more sleeps and it will be here! I finally finished designing all the cards. There were so many great Bring on the Cake cards to CASE from that it was difficult to choose which cards to stamp. I was going to make another card, when I realized I already created 9 cards and the class was only supposed to have 8. Lucky stampers get an extra card!!

I really love the Sycamore Street DSP that was available during Sale-A-Bration. It makes fun and colorful cards. Perfect for birthdays!!

I've already been planning my next stamp class. I'm going a whole different direction this time. The featured stamp set will be Trust God and all the cards will have an elegant feel to them. I haven't decided what else will be included in the kit. Possibly pearls. But before I get to excited about that project, I first need to make baby shower invites for my SIL. So happy when there is stamping that needs to get done!!

Don't forget that this weekend only, Stampin' Up! is offering FREE SHIPPING!!! This is for standard shipping only, not expedited orders. But still!! That's a savings of at least $7.95!!

Tomorrow I will be at a fundraiser crop. Can't wait to share Stampin' Up! with all of them!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Fresh Colors!!

Hi Stamping Friends!!

I'm totally addicted to our 1x8 Cello Bags!! It started with some little St. Patrick's day treat I made for my stamp club gals. I filled them with a rainbow of Skittles and finished them off with a cute little tag. They were so simple and easy to do and they looked so darling, that I decided to make them as gifts for the the Fundraiser Crop I'm attending on Saturday...

I just love how they turned out!! I went to Target on Tuesday and the Easter candy was 30%. I love a great deal!! I sent my mom today to get more Easter M&M's for my SIL's upcoming baby shower and they were 50% off!!! The Cello Bags are an amazing deal too. You get 50 bags for only $2.50!!

I made 44 of these cuties and it didn't take me long at all. The easiest part is filling the bags. The part I find most tedious is tying the ribbon. I used all retired card stock and ribbon for this project. The card stock colors are Gable Green (super old!) and Lovely Lilac. The Grosgrain Ribbon (my fave and I miss it!) is Daffodil Delight. The sentiment is stamped using Regal Rose.

Speaking of retired colors.... (didn't you love that segue!) Stampin' Up! just announced today that they will have "new" colors in the upcoming catalog!!!!

I'm so excited about this!! I always love when Stampin' Up! freshens up our color families. Colors come in and out of style so quickly these days and I love that Stampin' Up! tries to stay current with the home and fashion trends. Here is a list of what colors are coming and what colors are going.

Notice that there is really only one new color, Smoky Slate. All the other "new" colors have been In-Colors from the past couple of years. Love that they are keeping Calypso Coral and Pool Party!! Here is a color visual that I borrowed from a fellow demonstrator so you can see the "new" colors.

If you like to keep stock of the retiring colors, be sure to place your orders soon. As of today, those colors are considered "retired" and will only be available while supplies last.

And speaking of ordering... (another great segue right?!) This weekend only, Stampin' Up! is offering FREE shipping on all orders (does not include expedited shipping)!! That's a 10% savings!!!

So visit my website this weekend and get your order shipped for FREE!!!

Busy! Busy! Busy! and some Stampin' News!

Hi Stamping Friends!

Sorry I haven't been around much. I've been busy getting ready for two upcoming events. One you've already heard about, my Bring On The Cake birthday card class on Saturday, April 13th. But I was also invited to attend the 2nd Annual Trinty Lutheran Fundraiser Crop on Saturday, April 6th. And of course I decided to do more than they asked me too!!

I bought Spring mini-catalogs for everyone. I put them in clear Stampin' Up! bags. In each bag I included a little "scrapbook kit". I used the Tasteful Trim die, the Flower Folds die, and the Beautiful Wings Embosslit to cut-out Spring colored card stock pieces for them to use how they want. I also prepared a Make and Take using the Dress Up Framelits, and a candy treat using our 1x8 cello bags. And I have four raffle prizes!! Whew!! And I haven't even packed up the things I need to take with me!!

Stampin' Up! is always great about trying to stay up-to-date with all the lastest paper craft trends. And I love that they are always coming out with new, random "stuff". Here are a few of the latest "Stampin' news" items. And maybe a few you've seen already!! :)

So how's that for a little stampin' news update?!! I have been doing some stamping as well. I designed a couple more cards for the birthday class and have a few ideas for my upcoming April Stampin' Club. Plus I've got more ideas for more card classes!! Whenever the creativity bug hits, it is hard to contain!!  And I love that I get to share all this exciting stampin' stuff with all of you!!

Thanks for stopping by!
