Well I had quite the busy stamping weekend!! On Saturday I had 8 stampers over for 4 hours for my Bring on the Cake birthday card class. Then on Sunday, I had my regular monthly stamp club over for a couple of hours. It worked out kind of nice to schedule them back-to-back, because I only had to clean my house once!!
Here is the CASEd card we made on Sunday using the Secret Garden Bundle:
Stamps: Secret Garden, Blessings From Heaven
Paper: Gumball Green, Primrose Petals, Very Vanilla
At least this is what the card looked like before the class started. Here is what it looked like after 6 busy stampers were working with a table full of supplies:
Ooops!! A little ink pad accident! Since I'm way to lazy to pull a card completely apart to fix it, I had the opportunity to be creative!! I'm always telling my stampers that mistakes are just opportunities for creativity. And here is the perfect example! Here is what I did to "fix" this card:
I think the "redo" turned out pretty good! I really had fun inking up my Secret Garden set for the first time. I was hesitant to buy "another" flower set, but since so many of my stamp club ladies had already purchased it, I thought I better get it too and show them how to use it. We stamped the flowers with VersaMark ink onto Primrose Petal card stock and then embossed it with white embossing powder. After using the coordinating Framelits to cut them out, we dabbed a little Primrose Petal ink into the center of each flower using the sponge daubers. Super easy and elegant!!! I can't wait to use this set again!
Another "creative opportunity" for you is to become a Stampin' Up! demonstrtor. Then you too can have super fun stamping weekends!! And right now is an awesome time to become a demonstrator. Thanks for sharing your "creative moment," Krystal. I have those moments myself. LOL Last night I was working on a sympathy card for a dear friend and even with my stamp-a-majig in place, I still stamped my sentiment off kilter. Yes! the opportunity for a creative moment! The inside sentiment "to heal your heart," got restamped on a whisper white scrap and punched out with the heart punch, popped up and "wal-ah," FABULOUS! Thanks again and have a great day!
