I had a wonderful time at my Tulare County Class this weekend!! My T-town stamping peeps are the BEST!!!! I miss seeing them every month. So glad there is this thing called SOCIAL MEDIA so we can stay connected. :)
For this class we created a total of 7 cards. Four of them were made using the class set, Happy Scenes. I wanted to show how versatile this set is so I made each card with one of the four seasons in mind. Today's cards is the WINTER card:
Stamps: Happy Scenes
Ink: Old Olive
Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Mossy Meadow, Shimmery White, Silver Glimmer, Home for Christmas DSP
Accessories: Hearth & Home Thinlets, Sleigh Ride Edgelits, Softly Falling EF, Green Striped Ribbon, Washi Label Punch, Paper Doily, Window Sheet, Dimensionals
Here is what each kit contained:
Notice the pre-tied bows. Yeah. I'm a nice demo like that. ;)
I played around with making this a shaker card, but realized it would be too difficult to do at the class because of the level of difficulty. There just wouldn't be enough time to finish all 7 cards if I did. But I wanted to share it anyway, in case you want to make a shaker card yourself.
I used Dazzling Diamonds as "snow" and it stuck to EV. ERY. THING. I put in waaaayyy too much glitter the first time around and it made a huge mess.
It was like a glitter blizzard. Here is what it looked like before I added the glitter.
After this picture was taken, I added the glitter. I didn't realize it was too much until AFTER I stuck down the Dimensionals. So I tried to dump some out. But then it stuck to the Dimensionals as I was dumping it out. Then the Dimensionals wouldn't stick to the cardstock anymore and the glitter was falling out all over the place. So I ended up putting Liquid Glue on the Dimensionals so they would stick again.
Arrrggghhh!!! Can you feel my frustration?! And THIS is why we did NOT do a shaker card in class. ;)
This card has lots of pieces and elements so the level of difficulty was high enough. I did not need to add glitter to the equation. :)
