ColourQ #83

Hi Stamping Friends!!
Can you believe it?!!  I'm finally blogging again!  I didn't intend to take a blogging break, but life started hurrying by, and blogging (and stamping!) got put on the back burner.  But I'm here for now and hope to make at least a weekly blog appearance.  Maybe even bi-weekly.  :)

Today's card is for the color challenge over at the ColourQ blog.  It's been so long since I've played along.  I'm surprised Arielle hasn't taken my picture off the Royal Court Design Team!  I hope you can play with us this week!

Stamps:  Petal Pizzazz, Perfect Punches
Paper:  Ice Cream Parlor DSP (SAB), Turquoise DSP is retired, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango
Accessories:  Daffodil Pom-pom Trim (retired), Big Buttons (retired), Turquoise Grosgrain (retired), Large Oval Punch, Tangerine EP, Peach Ribbon, Baker's Twine, Scallop Ribbon Punch

Sketch Challenge:  MOJO MONDAY #189

I'm really lovin' the stuff out of the Summer Mini Catalog, especially the Baker's Twine and the colored embossing powders.  So fun!!

Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Stamping!

ColourQ #79

Hi Stamping Friends!!
It's Tuesday and that means it's time for more fabulous colors from Arielle at the ColourQ!!  Fun springtime colors this week with a punch of black.  I hope you can play along!

Stamps:  Flight Of The Butterfly, Season of Friendship
Paper:  Basic Black, Whisper White, Playdate DSP, Ice Cream Parlor DSP, unknown Tempting Turquoise DSP
Accessories:  Butterfly Punch, Dimensionals

Sketch Challenge:  CLEAN AND SIMPLE #134

Since I still haven't found my stamping groove, I decided to go with a CAS card today.  I couldn't find any Bermuda Bay DSP, so I cheated a little and used Tempting Turquoise.  Not even sure what pack that paper came from.  It was in my scrap bag and I was just too lazy to go through old catalogs to find it's name.

The weather has been beautiful this week in the Central Valley.  Spring is in the air and everyone has been feeling good... until this morning.  The 5yo woke up complaining his throat hurt.  Arrrrggg!!!  He just finished off a 10 day cycle of antibitotics last week!  Here's hoping it's just allergy related.  He's not acting as sick as he was last time.  I'm ready for a healthy family!!!

Hope you are having a beautiful week!
Thanks for stopping by!
Happy stamping!

ColourQ #77

Hi Stamping Friends!!
I have been in a major creative slump lately.  Too many other activities grabbing for my attention I guess.  So I don't have a card for you today.  But I wanted to share the gorgeous color combo that Arielle has for the ColourQ challenge this week.  Beautiful!!!  I hope you can play along.  And I hope I feel motivated to stamp something very soon!!!  Maybe after I take 5yo DS to the doc.  Or after I meet with a bride and her mother.  Or after the swim meet.  Or after Family Night.  Or after the wedding rehearsal.  Or after...  aaahhhhh!!!!  I very much dislike a busy schedule!!  Especially when it doesn't involve busy stamping!

Thanks for stopping anyway.  :)
Happy Stamping!

ColourQ #76

Hi Stamping Friends!
Don't you just LOVE these colors?!!!!  I sure do.  And what about those daisies?  Oh!  Be still my heart!!!  These colors and style are so "me".  That's why I was super excited to play with the ColourQ colors this week.  Arielle done herself a good job pickin' out this combo.  :)

STAMPS:  Perfect Punches
PAPER:  Kiwi Kiss, Early Espresso, Whisper White, Playdate DSP
ACCESSORIES:  Daisy Die, Designer Buttons, Beautiful Wings Embosslit, White Grosgrain, Decorative Label Punch, Wide Oval Punch

Sketch Challenge:  CLEAN & SIMPLE #131

I love daisies.  My grandparents had a long sidewalk that led from the street to their front door.  In the spring, the entire walkway was lined with white Shasta daisies.  We used to pick them and play the "He loves me... He loves me not..." game.  The only thing I didn't like about those daisies was if we were visiting on a Saturday, grandma would give us a clipper and tell us to dead head the flowers.  Man there were a lot of them!!

I hope you have a chance to stop by the ColourQ blog and see the other fabulous creations the design team has created.  And hopefully you will feel inspired to play along!

Thanks for stopping by!

ColourQ #75

Hi Stamping Friends!!!
It's time for another fabulous color challenge from the ColourQ!!  Didn't Arielle just pick out the cutest bunch of colors this week?!!  And I love the inspiration photo.  If I hadn't used my Animal Stories set last week to make my ColourQ card, I would have used it this week.  Love those animal cookies!!

STAMPS:  Flight of the Butterfly, So Happy For You (SAB), Dot, Dot, Dot
PAPER:  Daffodil Delight, Cool Caribbean, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, Ice Cream Parlor DSP (SAB)
ACCESSORIES:  Curly Label Punch, Daffodil Pom-pom Trim, Butterfly Punch, Basic Rhinestones, Glimmer Brads, Perfect Polka Dots EF, Scallop Ribbon Border Punch

Sketch Challenge:  CREATIVE SKETCHES #22

I was so excited about this card.  It wasn't until I uploaded it to the ColourQ site that I realized I didn't use any black!!  I could have at least stamped the sentiment in black or something!!  Last week I added a color, this week I forgot a color.  If I keep at, I may end up with the wrong colors all together!  Thankfully, Arielle is the sweetest, easiest challenge hostess I could ever work with.  She has nothing but encouragement for all of her team members.  I'm super impressed because she has actually called me at home.  More than once!!  To me, she is a stampin' super star.  And I'm glad she keeps me around, mistakes and all.  :)

I hadn't inked up this set in a looooong time.  It's so fun to dig out those old favorites that have been swept to the side when something new comes along.  I really need to make a concerted effort to use some of my older sets.  There are so many great ones to choose from!!  I had just a scrap of Cool Caribbean cardstock leftover.  I have the ink pad, but no full sheets of cardstock.  Imagine my surprise when I took out the Subtle Glimmer Brads and they matched so perfectly!!

I hope you have a chance this week to stop by the ColourQ challenge blog and see what the other amazing Royal Court team members have created.  I know they will give you lots stampin' inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope I see you again soon!!
Happy Stamping!

ColourQ #74

Hi Stamping Friends!!
Welcome to another addition of ColourQ Tuesday!!  Arielle wasn't too hard on us this week with her colors.  She gave us a great earthy combination.  Most times I create cards, I usually have "resale" on the brain and end up making a birthday card for Goodies Cookies, where I have my cards for sale.  But this time, I needed a card for a family in our church who just had a baby boy and I thought these colors would be perfect!

Stamps:  Animal Stories, Tiny Tags
Paper:  Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Early Espresso Patterns DSP
Accessories:  Square Lattice EF, Tasteful Trim die, Pear Poly Ribbon, Designer Button, Jewelry Tag Punch, Vintage Trinkets, Linen Thread

Sketch Challenge:  GET SKETCHY #76

I know what you are probably thinking... Does she ever make a card that doesn't include a color challenge and a sketch challenge?  And the answer is no.  I'm just not that creative!!  I need a starting point.  If someone tells me what colors to use, and someone else tells me the general look of the card, I'm good to go.  But just give me a bunch of supplies and tell me to create!  Aaaaccckkk!!  I turn into a puddle of stamping nonesense.  But get my ball rolling with some challenges, and I have a hard time slowing down.  If I've seen a great sketch or yummy color combo, I'm like a girl with a bad addiction.  I just need to go stamp something!!!  :)

Make sure you stop by the ColourQ this week and see what the other members of the Royal Court design team have created.  They always wow me with their stamping talent.  And I hope you can play along with us too!!

Visit again tomorrow and see my "D" digi scrap page for the ABC Scripture Challenge.  I used the Sweet Stitches digi papers from My Digital Studio.  So colorful and fun!!

Thanks for stopping by!

ColourQ #73

Hi Stamping Friends!!
Aren't these super fun colors that Arielle chose for the ColourQ this week?!! And that cat peeking out of the clock is hilarious!!  Wonder what happened to the poor birdie who supposed to be living there?  I know that Brilliant Blue and Brocade Blue are retired colors, but who doesn't have a scrap or two (or twenty!) lying around!

Stamps:  Party Hearty
Paper:  Brocade Blue, Pear Pizzaz and Rich Razzleberry Patterns DSP, the Brilliant Blue Polka Dot DSP is older than the hills.  I have no idea what it's name is.  SORRY!
Accessories:  Rich Razzleberry DSP, Markers, Word Window Punch, Razzleberry Brads, Circle Punches, Scallop Border Punch, Mat Pack, Paper Piercer

Sketch Challenge:  PALS PAPER ARTS #81
Technique Challenge:  MOXIE FAB WORLD Stamping With Markers
Technique Challenge:  CCEE STAMPERS Scoring (My "little" rosette is scored. I have NO idea how that thing is going to fit into an envelope!!)

To celebrate the 2nd birthday of my favorite online Stampin' Up hangout, Stampin' Addicts, I have created another birthday card.  Stampin' Addicts is a free, public online site for Stampin' Up! lovers around the world.  They have a gallery of over 23,000 Stampin' Up! only projects.  Stop by for some amazing SUO ideas and inspiration!!

And be sure to stop by the ColourQ blog and see what the other amazing design team members have created.  That Sylvia with her fussy cutting... oh my!!  Play along with us at the ColourQ and you could have the honor of being crowned the ColourQ Queen!

Tomorrow I have a "Virtual Birthday Shower" card for Stampin' Addicts.  Then Thursday is the Stampin' Celebration Challenge.  And on Friday I have the priviledge of participating in another Stampin' Addicts Blog Hop.  So you don't want to miss any day this week!!

(Isn't this blog banner fun?!  I designed it using My Digital Studio!!)

ColourQ #72

Hi Stamping Friends!
Welcome to ColourQ Tuesday!!  After two weeks of pretty pinks, Arielle threw us another one of her "curveballs".  :)  Anytime I see red, orange, and blue together, I think "boy".  And when I think boy, I automatically grab my Extreme Elements set.  So that was my starting point for this card.

Stamps:  Extreme Elements, Extreme Skateboard, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Sanded Bg
Paper:  Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, Tangerine Tango Patterns Pack DSP
Accessories:  Jumbo Eyelets, Oval die, Distressing Tool on the Cutter Kit, Word Window Punch, Squares Texture Plate, Dimensionals

Sketch Challenge:  INKSPIRATIONS #57

When it comes to boy cards, I think the grungier, the better.  There is no way to mess up this dirty style!!  I sponged all the edges of the cardstock with Soft Suede, my go-to grunge, distressing, vintage ink.  I had to keep the frills on the down-low, so I opted for metal only embellishments.  No ribbon or lace on this card!!  I'm thinking I should have ran my Tangerine DSP through the crimper, for added texture.  Man!  I can just never leave a card alone!  I always think of something (after the fact!) that I should have done to make it better.  Oh well!  What's done is done!

If you are looking for a challenge this week, then the ColourQ color challenge is the one for you!!  Make sure to stop by the ColourQ blog and check out all the other design team members fabulous creations.  Make sure you look at Renee's gorgeous card.  She has a knack for making every card full of beauty!!

I hope you can visit me again tomorrow.  I will be showing my "C" digi page for the ABC Scripture Challenge that I made with My Digital Studio.  And I have some fun news to share about my digi pages!!

Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Stamping!

ColourQ #71

Hi Stamping Friends!
Gorgeous colors today from Arielle at the ColourQ.  I just love all those pinks together.  And isn't that a cool necklace?  I doubt if I could wear it.  I'd feel like I was choking or something.  I'm so claustraphobic, I can't even wear turtlenecks!!

Stamps:  Crazy For Cupcakes
Paper:  Crumb Cake, Pretty In Pink Patterns DSP, Blushing Bride, Whisper White,
Accessories:  Scallop Oval Frame die, Organza Ribbon, Basic Pearls, Desginer Buttons, SU! Markers in Crumb Cake, Pretty In Pink, Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride, and Going Gray (retired), Dazzling Diamonds

Sketch Challenge:  UNSCRIPTED SKETCHES #92

This card is much cuter IRL.  I took this pic early in the morning, and the lighting is all wrong.  The white looks kind of gray.  Even PSE couldn't help it!  And you can't see how nice and sparkly the "frosting" is.  Oh well!  At least I have another card ready to go for Goodies Cookies.  I'm bringing all my cards over there today to sell.  Over 50 cards!!  So if you live in the Visalia, Tulare, Hanford, Exeter area and are looking for some one-of-a-kind handmade greeting cards, go check out Goodies Cookies Bakery at 1631 E. Noble Ave in the Martha's Vineyard shopping center.  I have cards for every occasion from birthday to Valentine's to Easter to Mother's Day.  I think there may even be a St. Paddy's day card in there and a couple of Get Well cards.  Lots to choose from!!

Be sure to stop by the ColourQ blog and see all the lovely cards the other designers have created.  They are beautiful!  Tomorrow I will have my "B" page for Patter Cross' ABC Scripture Challenge.  I really love using My Digital Studio.  I wonder if any of my customers would be interested in a taking free class on how to use it?  I may have to ask them!!

Thanks for stopping by!

ColourQ #70

Hi Stamping Friends!!
It's ColourQ Tuesday and Arielle gave us some yummy colors to work with this week.  I told you she was a sweetie!  I just LOVE this color combo and it was very fun being able to work with the retired Cameo Coral.  That was one of the SU! colors I was sad to see go.

Stamps:  Crazy For Cupcakes, Birthday Bliss, Tart and Tangy
Paper:  Early Espresso, Blushing Bride, Poppy Parade, Cameo Coral, Whisper White, Pattern Prints Pack DSP, Pink Flamingo DSP (retired)
Accessories:  Scallop Circle Punch, Circle Punches, White Satin Ribbon, Mat Pack, Paper Piercer, Perfect Polka Dots EF, Crystal Effects
Techniques: Paper Piecing

Sketch Challenge:  Sweet Sunday Sketch SSSC102

I know, not very original with the cupcake, but how can you look at that darling apron and not want to stamp a yummy cupcake?!!  I really love how this card turned out.  Except for my one "duh!" moment. After I added Crystal Effects to the "sprinkles" I wondered why didn't I color them Poppy Parade before I made them so pretty and shiny?  I suppose they could just be sugar crystals instead of sprinkles, but it would have just added that little extra "wow" if they had been another color.

I hope you have a chance to stop by the ColourQ this week and see all the sweet creations from the other Design Team members.  Maybe it will inspire you to stamp something yummy as well!

Stop by tomorrow for My Digital Studio Digi Wednesday.  I found a fun year-long scrap challenge I want to participate in.  And I just bought a TON of new downloads for My Digital Studio (and got to reap the benefits of Sale-A-Bration!).  At the rate it took to download just one pack of digi DSP, it may take me two years to get everything onto my computer.  :)

If you would like to take advantage of the fabulous Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration promotion, check out MY WEBSITE.  Click on the SHOP NOW button and start celebrating!!

ColourQ #69

Hi Stamping Friends!!
It's Tuesday and time for another color challenge from the ColourQ!  Arielle threw us what she referred to as a color "curveball" this week.  I'm tellin' ya, that girl is keeping me on my stamping toes!!  Don't these colors even look a little "spicy" to you?  After last week's fiasco, I was determined not to let these colors get the best of me.  And guess what... they didn't!  I was pleasantly surprised with the results.

AVIARY

Stamps:  Aviary, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper:  Rich Razzleberry, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Peach Parfait, Rich Razzleberry and Peach Parfait Patterns Pack DSP
Accessories:  Peach Parfait Stitched-Poly Ribbon, Oval Punch, Oval die, Tasteful Trim die, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Brights Glimmer Brads

Sketch Challenge:  STAMPIN' ADDICTS  SASC80

This is such an exciting stamping week for me for two reasons...

1.  Sale-A-Bration starts TODAY!!!  I love the Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration promotion.  I stock up on all my stamping essentials like adhesive, cardstock, ribbon, and then I get tons of goodies for FREE!!!  I also usually splurge on one big ticket item, like the Stampin' Write Markers or the Big Shot.  I figure if I'm going to spend the money, I might as well get a little something extra for it!  Plus, during SAB there is an amazing deal on the Demonstrator Starter Kit.  When you purchase the kit for 15% off, you also get a special bonus bundle of over $50 in FREE products.  How cool is that?!!  If you would like to take advantage of the Sale-A-Bration promotion, click on the cart full of Stampin' Up! goodies in my sidebar.  That will take you straight to my SU! website.

2.  This weekend, starting Friday, I will be participating in a Stampin' Addicts Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop.  You won't want to miss it!!  I had over 2,000 visitors hop through my blog during the last SA Occasions Mini Blog Hop.  I'm tellin' ya, there are some amazing stampers on this hop.  You will get tons of inspiration and you will want to get every SAB set possible!!

If you have any questions about the Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration promotion, are looking for a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, or are interested in purchasing the Starter Kit, send me an email.  I'd love to help you out!

Be sure and stop by the ColourQ blog this week.  The Design Team has done a fabulous job with these colors (as always!).  We would love to see you play along!  I hope you stop back by tomorrow.  I will have another My Digital Studio scrapbook page to show you.

Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Stamping!

ColourQ #68

Hi Stamping Friends!!
It's Tuesday and that means time for another color challenge over at the ColourQ blog!  Now Arielle knows I love her dearly, but I have to say, I did not take kindly to the colors this week.  They were giving me fits I tell ya!  I made one card, and it was so horrible, that it should be posted on the Stampers Fail blog.  If there were such a thing.  Lucky for you I decided to stamp an entire new card.

CRAZY FOR CUPCAKES

The card title is a little deceiving, since there are no cupcakes on this card.  But that balloon stamp in the Crazy For Cupcakes set is just so cute, I can't stop using it!!  These colors really aren't that bad.  The part that kept throwing me off were the two, very different shades of red.  But I think I made them work.

The card base is Poppy Parade layered with Whisper White cardstock.  The So Saffron DSP comes from the Playdate pack and the polka dotted Always Artichoke DSP come from the Patterns pack.  The Poppy Parade polka dotted balloon was made by stamping the Dot, Dot, Dot stamp with Poppy Parade ink onto Poppy Parade cardstock.  I love me some polka dots!!  The sentiment comes from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set.

Other challenges I used:
Sketch Challenge:  Clean and Simple  FTL123
Inspiration Challenge:  Stampin' Celebration  SCIC35  If you read this post before noon PST, there is still time to win some BLOG CANDY over at the Stampin' Celebration blog.  Hurry on over and check it out!

Now I know you are all just dying to see "the ugliest challenge card ever made".  Well, I don't want to disappoint you.  In fact, I hope it makes you feel more confident in your stamping abilities.  'Cause seriously, my 12yo DD could stamp better than this!

NATURE SILHOUETTES

It's so ugly that I made it the smallest size possible.  I don't want you to hurt yourself looking at it.  I know what you are thinking, "What was she trying to do?!"  Well let me tell you.  My dear friend and ColourQ color challenge creator extraordinaire, Arielle (the snappy stamper), is on like 7 million design teams.  Well, it's always kind of fun to help support the other challenge blogs out there, so I chose to use the sketch at Unscripted Sketches, one of the DT's that Arielle is on.  This week, they have a "piggyback" challenge to go with their sketch, and it is to make a guy card.  Well I can do that, I says to myself.  And so I began.  I had a sketch, I had my colors, and I had a theme.  And then I had a train wreck and the results are this card, destined for the round file or my FIL.  So that's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

Be sure and stop by the ColourQ blog this week.  There are some really fabulous cards by the other Design Team members.  Go look at Sylvia Nelson's card.  It is amazing!!  Best card I've ever seen using the new Build A Blossom set.  I hope you can play along with us this week.  I know you can stamp something more wonderful than what I did!

Tomorrow I will have another digital scrapbook page for you, using My Digital Studio.  Fortunately for you, I did not attempt to use these colors again.  :)

Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Stamping!

ColourQ #67... Scrapbook Style!

Hi Stamping and Scrapping Friends!
Remember this cute little tush from yesterday?  Well I loved these ColourQ challenge colors so much, I thought I would try them out on a My Digital Studio scrap page.  The only pictures I could find that kinda went with these colors, were some of my daughter's 9th birthday (she's 12 now!).

I'm a scrapper (and stamper!) who likes everything to match (that's probably why I'm a SU! demonstrator!).  So besides the Kiwi Kiss, I adjusted the other colors slightly.  I used Kiwi Kiss, Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise and a special shade of pinkish/red that I colored picked from my daughters dress.  The sketch for this layout comes from the My Digital Studio website.  This is ScrapSketch09.  The MDS site is a super place to learn great tips and tricks of how to use your MDS.  This week I learned a fun technique of inserting photos into the punches.  Makes it so easy to crop photos into any size and shape you want!  The site is available to everyone, demos and customers.  I can't wait for Sale-A-Bration so I can download some stuff for MDS.  I haven't downloaded anything at all.  I'm still using only the original stuff and the free upgrades.  I'm ready to try out some new goodies!!

Make sure you stop back by tomorrow and see what we are celebrating at the Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge.  It's going to be a party you don't want to miss!

Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Stamping and Scrapping!

ColourQ #67

Hi Stamping Friends!!
Isn't that that the cutest little tushie you ever did see?!  And let's be honest, with darling little underpanties like those, it's meant to be seen!!  I love the cheerful colors in this week's ColourQ challenge.  They are so bright and colorful.  And I need some brightness in my world right now.  Until yesterday, we hadn't seen the sun since Christmas.  Yes, Christmas!!!  It rained for awhile, and since I live in a valley (it's a huge valley, but it still has mountains on all sides), the moisture just stayed around as fog and overcast skies.  I'm ready for some color!!

PARTY HEARTY   #111532   $26.95

I had so much fun making this card!!  I've seen some fabulous collages that I've been admiring, and that is what inspired this card.  That, and the fabulous sketch challenge over at Stampin' Addicts.  Come over and check us out sometime!  It's the friendliest, little Stampin' Up! community where their motto is: Postively Creative!  Positively Stampin' Up!  This is sketch challenge 78 SASC78.

I made another birthday for my bakery stash.  Wouldn't it be cool if today was your birthday: 1-11-11?!  That would be an easy birthdate to remember!  The card base is Taken With Teal, layered with Kiwi Kiss (so glad I still have some retired SU! cardstock!), and then Whisper White.  I have no idea what all the DSP is from.  I know it is all retired SU! stuff.  The little present stamp is from the Party Hearty Set, and the sentiment is from the Birthday Bliss set.  I also used the Dot, Dot, Dot stamp on the Taken With Teal square.  The super fun ribbon is also retired SU!  I'm a sucker for polka dots.  I think it came from one of those Ribbon Original packs.  Loved the ribbons in those!  Lots of fun embellishments.  Most of those are current, except for the Kiwi Corduroy Button, that is retired.

Be sure and check out the ColourQ this week.  Arielle added an entire scrapbook Design Team!!  So go give them a friendly welcome and then play along.  You could brighten your winter blues too!

Tomorrow I will have a My Digital Studio scrapbook layout using the ColourQ colors.  Well, most of the colors.  Well actually only Kiwi Kiss, but the others are shades of the challenge colors!  And only 2 more days before we start celebrating over at the Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge!!  No need to RSVP, just show up on Thursday and join the fun!

Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Stamping!

ColourQ #66

Hi Stamping Friends!
Another new year means all new challenges at the ColourQ.  As usual, Arielle has picked out a fabulous photo full of fun colors.

I opted to use Baja Breeze instead of Soft Sky, for two reasons... I couldn't find a piece of DSP with Soft Sky and I LOVE the new Springtime Vintage DSP out of the Occasions Mini catalog, so I just had to use it!!

The card base is Basic Black that is layered with Baja Breeze that was stamped with the En Francais background stamp.  The Baja DSP is from the Springtime Vintage pack and the So Saffron DSP is from the Designer Series pack.  The fluer-de-lis style stamp is from the Friends 24/7 set.  That panel was also stamped with the En Francais stamp with Versamark ink.  The butterfly is from the Great Friend set and the sentiment comes from the Oval All set.  Apparently, I'm kind of in a vintage mode.  All the cards I've stamped lately have been sponged and spritzed with Soft Suede.  That just screams vintage.

I almost forgot!  This sketch comes from the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog.  This is sketch SFF123110.  Go check it out!

I've also been in a digi scrapping mode latley.  I've never really sat down and played with My Digital Studio, but now that I have, I have scrapping fever bad!!  I just want to sit at my computer all day and scrap!  So tomorrow, I will have a MDS page using these ColourQ colors.  So make sure you stop back by.

And, make sure you go check out the ColourQ blog and see the amazing cards the other design team members have created.  And while you're at it, play along with us!  We would love to see what you are stamping in the new year.

Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Stamping!

ColourQ #65

Hi Stamping Friends!!
It feels good to have some stamping time again!  It's been a couple weeks since I've been able to play at the ColourQ.  I'm so glad that Arielle is such a gracious host, or she would have kicked my booty to the curb a long time ago!!  Thankfully she keeps me around for old times sake.  :)  I love today's color inspiration picture.  I would love to make a scarf like that using my Big Shot.  Wouldn't that be so fun to wear?  I'll just add that to my list of things to do... make a scarf.  Yeah right!

EXTREME ELEMENTS

I need to work on restocking my supply of birthday cards over at Goodies Cookies.  So you may be seeing a bunch of birthday madness over the next few weeks.  I thought these colors would make a great boy card.  And we all know those boy cards are the most difficult to create!!  I used a Crumb Cake base layered with some old, forgotten named DSP from SU!.  Then a piece of Old Olive cardstock that I embossed with me Big Shot using the Distressed Texturz Plate.

My "go to" boy set is always Extreme Elements.  This is one of those sets that I will keep forever!  I paired it with the Extreme Dirt Bike single stamp.  The whole Extreme series of stamps is so perfect for tween and teen boy cards.  I even know some adult men that would like this card.  :)

This fabulous sketch comes from my favorite Stampin' Up! only online hangout, Stampin' Addicts.  Every  week they have a new sketch challenge.  December is "do-over" month.  Since everyone is so busy, Paula (the sketch challenge hostess) chooses a sketch from the previous year for everyone to "do-over".  This was originally sketch #45.

If you love a great blog hop, be sure to stop by on Friday.  All my pals at Stampin' Addicts are joining me in showing off all the new stuff from the Stapmin' Up! Occasions Mini Catalog.  Trust me, you will LOVE what you see!  Here's a link to all the gals that will be partcipating: Stampin' Addicts Blog Hop.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you will be able to join us and play along at the ColourQ!

Happy Stamping!
