Stampin' Up! Peaceful Pines - Christmas Spirit

Hi Stamping Friends!!

Today I have my final Peaceful Pines card. I had fun using this stamp set this week. I just wish I was able to take better pictures!!! I'm kind of afraid to bring my camera into the shop because I have a feeling they are going to tell me it's better just to get a new one. Maybe I can ask for one for Christmas. :)

Stamps: Peaceful Pines
Ink: Mossy Meadow
Paper: Real Red, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Merry Moments DSP

Stampin' Up! Peaceful Pines - Playful Season

Hey Stamping Friends!!

Can I just admit something here a minute. I DISLIKE SHAKER CARDS!! Every time I try to make one, they just give me fits!!! This one included.

Stamps: Peaceful Pines
Ink: Cucumber Crush, Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Watermelon Wonder
Paper: Cucumber Crush, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer, Cherry On Top DSP
Accessories: Perfect Pines Framelits, Circle Framelits, Banner Triple Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, Cucumber Dotted Lace Trim, Dimensionals, Window Sheet

First off... I want a new camera!!

It's bad enough when a card gives you fits, but then you can't even take a decent picture of it!! Can you tell I'm slightly frustrated by all of this? :)

So shaker cards. They always sound fun and look fun and are fun to send. But they are NOT fun to make. They are really not all that complicated to make.
First... create a frame and glue a piece of Window Sheet to it. (TIP: Do NOT use any type of liquid glue for this. Glue Dots work so much better.) I made my frame by placing two Circle Framelits inside of each other and running it through the Big Shot. Very easy.
Next... Cut Dimensionals and place around the back of your frame.
Then... Place whatever elements you want to shake: glitter, sequins, etc. onto your background. I cut out some ornaments from the Peaceful Pines stamp set. I wanted to make it look like the ornaments had fallen off of the tree.
Finally... Attach your frame onto your background.

Pretty simple right? But what always seems to happen with me is my shaker elements stick to the sides of the Dimensionals and then instead of shaking, they just sort of hang there and don't move. And then I start banging the card around and the edges get bent and my frame comes loose and then... and THEN!!! Well you know the feeling... AAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!

Maybe there is some shaker card secret that I don't know about. If that's the case, fill me in. I'd like to be excited about making more of these.

I went outside my traditional Christmas box and went with some fun and playful colors. The sketch come from the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge: MOJO423

The circle element is what inspired me to make a shaker card. It might be awhile before I'm inspired to do that again. ;)

Tomorrow is the LAST DAY to join my Snow Friends stamp class!!!

Stampin' Up! Peaceful Pines - Snowy Woodland

Hi Stamping Friends!!

I'm loving creating all these Peaceful Pines cards. I wish I could say that I have them all created and ready to go, but the truth is I'm making them one day at a time. I'm going to have to learn how to "binge stamp" soon though because... I GOT A JOB!!!

After a year and a half of applications, tests. and interviews, I finally got a job at Vista High School as a Special Ed. Instructional Assistant. I'm so excited!! Go Panthers!!

Of course this is going to be a big adjustment for me (and my family!) since I have not worked M-F in For. Ev. Er. I may not be blogging as often, but I have no plans of stopping my Stampin' Up! business. I love all my stamping friends way to much!!!

Stamps: Peaceful Pines
Ink: Old Olive
Paper: Old Olive, Soft Suede, Pear Pizzazz, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter
Accessories: Perfect Pines Framelits, Sleigh Ride Edgelits, Woodland EF, Pear Pizzazz Ribbon (retired)

Again, sorry about the terrible picture. You can't even tell how sparkly the "snow" is. I love how simple this card is, yet has so many great textures. I don't know what it is, but I love a lot of texture on a card. It just makes it so much "fancier" than a regular store bought card.

The Perfect Pines Framelits are on sale this week:

Of course the best deal would be if you ordered the Peaceful Pines Bundle #140850 on the top of page 16 in the Holiday mini catalog. Then you get the stamp set and the matching Framelits for 15% off. Such a great deal!!

Speaking of bundles... have you joined my Snow Friends Online Stamp Class yet? FRIDAY is the LAST day to join!!!

Stampin' Up! Peaceful Pines - His Name

Hey Stampin' Friends!!

Have you ever bought an entire stamp set because you really loved just one stamp in the set? Yeah. Me too. All. The. Time. I was not going to purchase the Peaceful Pines set because I didn't think I really needed another Christmas tree set. Then I saw this one stamp in the set and I just had to have it. :)

Stamps: Peaceful Pines
Ink: Blackberry Bliss
Paper: Very Vanilla, Blackberry Bliss, Gold Glimmer
Accessories: Boughs & Berries EF, Softly Falling EF, Oval Framelits, Christmas Greeting Thinlits, Gold Cord, Pearl Jewels

I'm so sad that my good camera isn't working. This picture does not do this card justice. It is very rich and elegant looking IRL. I had wanted to add some Gold Glitz Dazzling Details to this card but apparently I do not own any?! (I will need to rectify that situation very soon!) So I went with the pearls instead. They added just the right amount of "pretty" without being overwhelming.

And yes. This is the one stamp that I bought the whole set for. "And His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace." It comes from the book of Isaiah in the Bible. I have a "thing" for any type of Christian Christmas stamps. I rarely can say no to them. That's how this entire set and the matching Perfect Pines Framelits ended up at my house. And I am so glad they did!!!

And I was excited to see that the Perfect Pines Framelits are on sale this week!!!

Of course it's still probably a better deal to purchase the entire bundle #140850 on page 16 of the Holiday mini catalog.

Speaking of bundles... have you joined my Snow Friends Online Stamp Class yet? Today is the LAST week to join!!!

Here are all the details:

Stampin' Up! Peaceful Pines - Silver Sparkle

Hey Stamping Friends!!

Did you know that, counting today, there are only seven Mondays until Christmas?!! And I have so many fabulous Christmas stamp sets that I decided to share a different stamp set ever week until Christmas. The first set to be featured is Peaceful Pines.

I did not get this set right away, because I already have Festival of Trees from last year, but I could not resist the coordinating Perfect Pines Framelits. And I also loved the tree image that has the names of Christ. So order it I did!!!

Stamps: Peaceful Pines, And Many More
Ink: Garden Green, Versamark
Paper: Garden Green, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer, Vellum
Accessories: Softly Falling EF, Perfect Pines Framelits, 2 1/2" Circle Punch, Banner Punch, Striped Ribbon, Silver EP

I loved the Freshly Made Sketches FMS211 so much that I used it twice this week.

It's hard to tell from this picture (My nice camera is not working so I'm having to use pics taken with my phone.) but the tree is embossed with all silver little "sprinkles". It's nice and sparkly IRL. I love the simplicity of this card. I need to remember that sometimes, less is more.

One of the Christmas sets I will also be featuring is the Snow Place stamp set and coordinating Snow Friends Framelits. There is still time to join my Snow Friends Online Stamp Class.

Here are all the details:

Purchase the Snow Friends Bundle #140844 on page 33 of the Handmade for the Holidays catalog (Do NOT buy them separately.
