I confess. I had a difficult time with Psalm 2. I'm still getting in the groove of "meditating" on a section of Scripture. I'm usually a "read and go" girl. Just checkin' the Bible readin' off my list of things to do. That's what I love about this study of the Psalms with Wendy Pope. You study one passage of Scripture all week. You think about that "Word from the Lord", for more than just a few minutes.
A few words that kept standing out to me in this passage, were "kings", "rulers", and "enthroned". Thus the crown on my card today. I also chose the color purple as a sign of royalty. Christ is our Eternal King and we are to surrender fully and submit to Him everyday. He is the rightful King of our hearts and lives. Plus, He is all powerful and has all authority. We can live in victory because of Him.
My Life Application Bible notes for verse 3 say this:
"People often think they will be free if they can get away from God. Yet we all inevitably serve somebody or something, whether a human king, an organization, or even our own selfish desires... We can find the one sure route to freedom by wholeheartedly serving God the Creator. God can set you free to be the person he created you to be."
That's who I want to be, the person God created me to be. Not the person the world tells me I should be. I want God to be the King of my life. I don't want to focus on earthly things, I want to focus on eternal things. I want to take refuge in Him. I want Him to be the "love of my life", thus the sentiment "amour".
Wendy shared a quote by David Guzik and I wanted to share it with you:
"Those who defy God are broken, but those who depend on Him are blessed."
I pray you will be blessed!!!
Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Stamping!

Very nice card. Thank you for sharing.
Beautiful card!! I had to look up the verse to see what comes next, since the kings and rulers of this earth are certainly trying to throw off God these days. Ha, it says God laughs at em! I love that. Next time I get frustrated about laws that are made, and the way things are going, I'm going to picture God in Heaven having a hearty laugh!
