Stampin' Up! New 15-16 In-Color Blog Hop

Hi Stampin' Friends!!!

I'm super excited to be participating in the Stampin' Addicts New In-Color Blog Hop today!!

The color I chose for the blog hop is Cucumber Crush. At first you may think it is only a color you would use at Christmas or St. Patrick's Day. But I want to show you how versatile it really is.

It is such a bright and happy green. It just screams S P R I N G. So for my first card I paired it with Daffodil Delight for a fun friendship card.

Stamps: Sprinkles of Life
Paper: Cucumber Crush, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Cherry On Top DSP
Accessories: Starburst Framelits, Tree Builder Punch, Candy Dots, Cucumber Crush Dotted Lace Trim

Cucumber Crush is also a great "guy" color. This card has already been delivered to our neighbor who has been helping my hubs work on our 21 year old pickup truck.

Stamps: Guy Greetings, Lots of Thanks
Paper: Smoky Slate, Cucumber Crush, Whisper White, Cherry On Top DSP
Accessories: Zig Zag EF, Triple Banner Punch, Circle Punches, Candy Dots

It can also be a very elegant color. I received a wedding invitation recently that used Cucumber Crush as an accent color. I thought this would make a great bridal shower card for the bride-to-be.

Stamps: Big news, Everything Eleanor
Paper:Cucumber Crush, Brushed Gold, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Spring Flowers EF, Label Framelits, Lace Doily, Itty Bitty Flower Punch, Cucumber Crush Dotted Lace Trim, Rhinestone Jewels

There are so many great ways to use Cucumber Crush. Depending on what color you pair it with it looks fabulous for any occasion! I hope you will give it a try.

For the Sprinkles of Life card I used the sketch from Sketch and Stamp:

For the Guy Greetings card I used the sketch from Nacho Average Challenge:

For the Big News wedding card I just CASEd a card I saw on the web. Which is my usual MO. ;)

So glad you joined us today!

Ink: Crushed Curry, Calypso Coral, Garden Green, Blushing Bride

I mailed this card with my April Online Card Kits as a "thank you". (And maybe also as a little hint to entice them for May's Online Class!) ;)

Here are the details for my May Class:

Order the Butterfly Bundle
Photopolymer 138865 $41.50

using Hostess Code: FCJ6AZTH

Then you can get together and stamp your FREE card kits together when you receive them. Now how fun would that be?!

Here is a little sneak peek of one of the cards that will be included in the kit:

I will continue to post peeks of the cards on my FB page and on my IG account throughout the week. Are you following me yet? You should!!

Don't forget to check out "The List" and order your retiring products before they are gone. I got me a collection of Chevron Ribbon. I have a small obsession with ribbon. I {heart} it all!!

Stampin' Up! $5 Paper Pumpkin Today ONLY and Teacher Appreciation

Hey Stampin' Friends!!!

Are you a Paper Pumpkin subscriber yet? Now is the perfect time to join!!! All new members can subscribe TODAY ONLY for FIVE DOLLARS for the first month!!!!

Make sure you designate me as your demonstrator when you sign up: PAPER PUMPKIN

It also makes a great Mother's Day Gift!!!

This past week was Teacher Appreciation Week. I advise all mother's to stay away from Pinterest during that time. Otherwise you could end up walking around Wal-Mart and spending 50 dollars on orange stuff.

I made the 4th grader's teacher and the school principal a summer basket with all "orange" stuff. I bought orange sand buckets and filled them up. It actually was kind of fun to hunt around the store for orange things.

I had a great time yesterday at my first ever Bible study journaling class at The Making Place in Escondido. It is the cutest scrapbook store I've seen!! It has a darling shabby chic/vintage feel. I didn't have time to stay and browse and take pics, but I will be back. I can't wait to take more classes there. They offer mixed media classes and I've been wanting to learn more about that. More reasons to spend time in my craft loft!

Our Bible study/art class:

The instructor's Bible journaling page:

My first attempt at coloring with Gamasol and colored pencils:

I love how she added her cut-out page to her Bible using washi tape. I haven't bought a Journaling Bible yet. They were out at the store and won't get them in until June. I've been looking online but just can't quite decide which one to get. I wish I could see them in person. Might have to make a run to Family Christian Store in Carlsbad to see if they have any.

In other news...

I got my shipment of six boxes of new catalogs yesterday!!! I will be mailing catalogs to all of my super amazing customers. If you have placed a $25 order from within the last year, I will mail you a catalog. If you haven't but you would still like a catalog, then go to my website NOW and place your qualifying order and I will add you to my list!!

A great way for you to make that first time qualifying order os to join my May Online Stamp Class. The deadline to join this class is May 18th. Visit this blog post for all the details:

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hope you are having a great Saturday.

Stampin' Up! Stippled Blossom Retiring Stamps Blog Hop

Hey Stampin' Friends!!

It's finally here!! The Stampin' Addicts Retiring Stamp Sets Blog Hop!!

If you've been hopping with us, then you just came from Heidi's blog where she featured the Starburst Sayings set. And if you just started... WELCOME!! We are so glad you joined us! There are 10 stops on this hop. I'm number 10.

I chose Stippled Blossom as the retiring set that I wanted to feature. This is one set that I love but I just never inked up enough. So it is staying in my stash. :)

Since Mother's Day is only a couple of days away, I wanted to make a card and coordinating gift "bag".

Here are the details for each project:

Stamps: Stippled Blossom, And Many More (sentiment)
Paper: Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder
Ink: Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant, Pear Pizzazz
Accessories: Perfect Polka Dots EF, Wisteria Wonder Chevron Ribbon (both on "The List"), Pearl Jewels, 2 1/2" Circle Punch

All of the flowers and leaves were cut-out by hand and attached to a Whisper White circle with Dimensionals. Then the entire circle was attached to the card front with Dimensionals to give even more depth. I already sent this card to my mom. :)

Here is a close-up of the gift purse.

Stamps: Stippled Blossom
Paper: Subtles Color Collections DSP, Whisper White (for stamping)
Accessories: Petite Purse die (on "The List"), Pearl Jewels

This little purse is just too cute. It's perfect for a small gift like earrings, a charm, or of course my favorite... Chocolate!!

For my last project I created a pretty birthday card with lots of "Last Chance" items:

Stamps: Stippled Blossom, Memorable Moments (sentiment)
Paper: Blushing Bride, Whisper White, Crumb Cake
Ink: Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzazz, Wild Wasabi
Accessories: Label Framelits, Beautifully Baroque EF, Festive Paper Piercing Template, White Satin Ribbon, Pearl Jewels, Dimensionals

This stamp set makes such elegant, feminine cards. So sad it won't be in the catalog any more. But happy that I already own it!! If you don't have it, you should order it before it's gone!!

Thanks so much for hopping with us. If you haven't seen all 10 blogs, then click on the NEXT button and visit Cindy's blog where she is featuring the Apothecary Art set.

Stampin' Up! Painted Petals Delightful Wonder

Hey Stampin' Friends!!

Today I have the last two cards from my Painted Petals April Online Stamp Class to share with you.

Stamps: Painted Petals
Paper: Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight
Ink: Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight, Wisteria Wonder
Accessories: On Film Framelits, Wisteria Chevron Ribbon, Wasabi Twine, Butterfly Punch, Rhinestone Jewels

Included in the kit:

1 - Wisteria Wonder card base
1 - Whisper White card front
1 - Daffodil Delight frame
1 - Whisper White large square
1 - Whisper White small square
1 - butterfly
3 - Rhinestone jewels
1 - Wisteria chevron ribbon

Stamp a row of Wisteria Wonder (or any light purple) dots on the bottom of the Whisper White card front. Attach the card front to the Wisteria Wonder card base.
Lay the Daffodil Delight frame on the large Whisper White square (DO NOT attach yet!). Stamp you sentiment onto the Whisper White card stock using Wisteria ink. Remove frame.
Stamp two sets of Wild Wasabi (or similar green) stems next to the sentiment.
Stamp flowers using Daffodil Delight (or any bright yellow).
Stamp an extra flower onto a scrap of Whisper White card stock and cut out. Attach with a Dimensional.
Using liquid glue, glue your frame onto your large square. You may need to trim the edges.
Using Dimensionals, attach the frame to the card front.
Place the rhinestones on the butterfly and add the butterfly with Dimensionals.
Tie the Wisteria ribbon and the twine.

And the final card in the kit:

Stamps: Painted Petals
Paper: Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Painted Blooms DSP
Ink: Sahara Sand, Blackberry Bliss, Wild Wasabi
Accessories: Label Framelits, Spring Flowers EF, Blackberry Stitched Satin Ribbon, Wild Wasabi Twine, Daffodil Candy Dots, Festive Paper Piercing Template

The kit includes:

1 - Blackberry Bliss card base
1 - Spring Flower embossed Whisper White card front
1 - Daffodil Delight label
1 - Whisper White label
1 - strip of Painted Blooms DSP
3 - Daffodil Delight Candy Dots
1 - Blackberry Bliss ribbon

Using liquid glue (it works best on embossed paper), attach the Whisper White card front onto the Blackberry Bliss card base.
Again using liquid glue, attach the Painted Blooms DSP strip onto the embossed card front.
If you have the correct paper piercing template, pierce the Daffodil Delight label. If not, this step can be eliminated.
Stamp the gingham pattern onto the white label using Sahara Sand ink.

Stamp sentiment with Blackberry Bliss (or any dark purple) ink.
Stamp leaves using Wild Wasabi ink.
Stamp flowers with Blackberry Bliss.
Using Dimensionals, attach Whisper White label onto the Daffodil Delight label.
Again with Dimensionals, adhere Daffodil label onto card front. (You will have two layers of Dimensionals.)
Add Candy Dots to flower centers.
Tie ribbon and twine. The twine is double wrapped and tied with a bow instead of my usual knot. :)

So there you have it!! All four cards from the April Painted Petals Online Stamp Class. I would love it if you would join my May Class. Details can be found on my blog here:

If you are undecided about purchasing the Butterfly Bundle, visit my Pinterest board and see all the wonderful projects created with this beautiful set:
