Stampin' Up! Picture Perfect

Hi Stamping Friends!!

So I finally created some cards for my "reverse Lent" challenge. Where instead of giving something up for Lent, you do something extra. My extra is sending cards for each day of Lent. And I'm not gonna lie. I do not send one card every day. I usually end up sending about 7 or 8 cards once a week. But all the math works out in the end and I usually send for than 40 cards anyway. :)

Stamps: Picture Perfect, Rose Wonder (sentiment)
Ink: Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral (rose), Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive (leaf)
Paper: Whisper White, Calypso Coral, Blushing Bride DSP (retired)
Accessories: Triple Banner Punch, Circle Punch, Organza Ribbon

I love the realistic look of this pretty rose. It's very easy to do using a "triple" stamping technique.

When doing this stamping technique, it's best to start with the lightest color first and build your up from there. It's amazing how the rose image comes to life with each additional color.

For the leaf, I only used two ink colors. For the first step of stamping, I "stamped-off" first to get a lighter color of Pear Pizzazz. Then I did a regular layer of Pear Pizzazz and my finally layer was Old Olive.

I just love the detailed look of this set. I can't wait to use the other stamp images in this set. The starfish is beautiful!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Have a stamptastic day!!

Stampin' Up! Honeycomb Sweetness

Hi Stampin' Friends!!

I can't believe that Sale-A-Bration is already more than half way over!!

Did you get all the FREE products you wanted? I LOVE the new Glitter Tape that Stampin' Up! added last week. I can't believe how much you get!! And in three different colors!!

The little stamps in the Honeycomb Happiness set are so cute. Here is a card we made at my Tulare County Stamp Class:

Stamps: Honeycomb Happiness (SAB)
Ink: Tip Top Taupe
Markers: Crumb Cake. Mint Macaron
Paper: Mint Macaron, Whisper White, Birthday Bouquet DSP, Blushing Bride DSP
Accessories: Circle Punches, Scallop Punch, Heart Punch, Organza Ribbon, Honeycomb Embellishments

I love this quick, simple design. Just punch out a few Designer Papers. Stamp and color your image. Add a sentiment and ribbon and your are done!! And don't you just love those little Honeycomb Embellishments?! So cute!!!! I want to make a couple more of these and send them to my nieces.

I'm going to attempt to take photos of the Lent cards I created this weekend and post them late this week. But you know. Now I have this huge thing that takes away all my stamping time. A JOB!! Although I love my job so I won't complain too much. :)

Have a wonderful week!!
Keep on stamping on!

Stampin' Up! Party Wishes

Happy Monday Stampin' Friends!!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I got to watch my daughter and her teammates win their first round CIF high school championship water polo game.

I can't wait to watch them play this Wednesday in the semi-final round. GO PANTHERS!!

I also did a lot of stamping this weekend. I like to send out cards during Lent and as a sort of "reverse" Lent challenge. I hadn't even started yet and we are already on our second week of Lent!! I got 16 cards ready for mailing.

I have two more cards to share from my Tulare County Class. I always like to showcase as many fabulous new stamp sets as possible. So besides the Rose Wonder cards, I also brought along the Party Wishes set and one of the Sale-A-Bration sets.

Stamps: Party Wishes
Ink: Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral
Paper: Whisper White, Calypso Coral, Birthday Bouquet DSP
Accessories: Confetti EF, Oval Framelits, Balloon Party Punch, Organza Ribbon, Glitter Tape (SAB), Wink of Stella

This card is so quick and easy to make. I love all the texture of the Confetti embossing folder. It adds lots of fun pizzazz!!! I used the Wink of Stella glitter pen to add a little sparkle to the candle flame and the balloon "strings". It's so easy to use. Now I want to glitter everything!!!

I hope you have a fabulous week and find some time to do a little stamping. I will be working on my Sunburst Sayings Online Stamp Class card kits. :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin' Up! Rose Wonder Birthday

Hi Stamping Friends!!

Today I have the final Rose Wonder card we created at last weekend's card class. We created a couple of "extra" cards, but they were not made with the Rose Wonder set. You will have to wait until next week to see them. ;)

Stamps: Rose Wonder
Ink: Soft Suede
Paper: Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Always Artichoke
Accessories: Rose Garden Thinlits, Vanilla Seam Binding, Candy Dots

I wanted to show the class that just because the Rose Wonder set appears to be very "feminine", it does not mean that you can not create a more masculine looking card. For the class I didn't have enough Seam Binding, so the gals made their cards with jute, which gave it an even more manly look. I love how it turned out!

Tomorrow is the final day to join my current Online Stamp Class featuring the Sunburst Sayings Bundle.

Joining is easy.

1. Go to my Stampin' Up! website: KRYSTAL'S CARDS
2. Order the Sunburst Sayings Bundle #140807 on page 25 of the Occasions Catalog.
3. Use Hostess Code W3WDMJFJ before checkout.
4. Wait patiently (the hardest part!) for me to send you a card kit that contains enough supplies to create four fun and fabulous cards.

See! I told you it was easy!!

Stampin' Up! Rose Wonder Thank You

Hi Stamping Friends!!

I have another Rose Wonder card to share today!!

Stamps: Rose Wonder
Ink: Blackberry Bliss
Paper: Whisper White, Hello Honey, Calypso Coral, Old Olive, Wildflower Fields DSP (SAB)
Accessories: Rose Garden Thinlits, Washi Label Punch, Organza Ribbon

I am just loving the Rose Garden Thinlits!! They make creating cards so easy. This card is so simple to put together. Just cut out the beautiful rose design and adhere it to your card front. The Fine-Tip Glue pen works best for gluing down this intricate design.

Have you noticed that all three cards have used the same Organza Ribbon? I love the pretty, classic look of it and it pairs so well with the elegant looking rose designs in the Rose WOnder stamp set and Rose Garden Thinlits. I decided I would just buy a roll for each one of my class members and keep it simple. Plus now they all have lots of ribbon to use on their own creations!!

If you are interested in joining my next online classes, the Starburst Sayings class is open until Saturday, February 20th.

Joining is easy.

1. Go to my Stampin' Up! website: KRYSTAL'S CARDS

Stampin' Up! Rose Wonder Beautiful Blessing

Hi Stamping Friends!!

One of my favorite things about the Rose Wonder stamp set is the wonderful variety of sentiments. It's has one for almost every occasion: birthday, wedding, sympathy, and friendship. Some of the best reasons to send cards!!

Here is another card we created this weekend using one of my favorite sentiments from the set.

Stamps: Rose Wonder
Ink: Mossy Meadow, Calypso Coral
Paper: Calypso Coral, Hello Honey, Old Olive, Whisper White, Wildflower Fields DSP (SAB)
Accessories: Fluttering EF, Circle Framelits, Itty Bitty Flower Punch, Pearl Jewels, Organza Ribbon

For this card I stamped out the images and then "fussy cut" them by hand. No dies or Thinlits, or Framlits involved.

If you are interested in joining one of my online classes, my Starburst Saying class is open for a few more days.

Joining is easy.

1. Go to my Stampin' Up! website: KRYSTAL'S CARDS
2. Order the Sunburst Sayings Bundle #140807 on page 25 of the Occasions Catalog.
3. Use Hostess Code W3WDMJFJ before checkout.

Stampin' Up! Rose Wonder Isaiah 41

Hi Stamping Friends!!

I spent a fun weekend stamping with all of my favorite stamping peeps and I wanted to share the cards we created.

We used the Rose Wonder Bundle found on page 18 of the Occasions Catalog. I found all of my ideas for these cards on Pinterest. It's my favorite place to go for stamping inspiration!!

What I love about this idea is that you get two cards for one!! You use the large rose Thinlit cutout and sponge ink over top of it, using it as a mask. When you remove it you get the top card.

Then you use the actual cutout that you sponged ink on and place it on another card. How brilliant is that?!

And besides getting your fingers a little inky, it's super easy to do!

I used Daffodil Delight over the whole rose and then added some Crushed Curry to the center. The leaves were sponged with Old Olive.

I created my sponges by cutting one of the Stamping Sponges (found on page 163 of the Stampin' Up! catalog) into eights. Then I punched out a "handle" using the Decorative Label punch found on page 166. The color cardstock I used coordinates with the color of ink that was used. That way when I use the sponges again, I will know what color ink is on them. I make my sponges on an "as needed basis", creating a new one every time I use a different color of ink.

I just love this stamp set and coordinating Thinlits and can't wait to share with you the other cards we created.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Bloomin' Love Be Mine

Hi Stamping Friends!!!

Today I have the fourth and final card from my Bloomin' Love Online Stamp Class. If you like what you see, you should join my February Online Stamp Class featuring the Starburst Sayings Bundle. Details on how to join will be at the bottom of this post.

As much as I LOVE how the Love Blossoms DSP, the Bloomin' Love stamp set and Bloomin' Heart Thinlits all coordinate together, I wanted to try and design a slightly more "manly" card. Plus, I can never let a Valentine's Day pass by without creating a card using my family's "signature colors".

My dad has been a truck driver for over 40 years. My two brothers have followed in his footsteps. Every truck they have ever driven has been painted with the exact same color scheme... Red and black.

So this card is dedicated to the three of them.

Stamps: Bloomin' Love
Ink: Basic Black
Paper: Basic Black, Real Red, Red Foil (from the Holiday Catalog)
Accessories: Bloomin' Heart Thinlits, Happy Heart EF, Large Numbers Framelits (banner), Black Satin Ribbon (retired)

Card kit includes:

1 - Basic Black card base
1 - Real Red card front
1 - Basic Black embossed card front
1 - Red Foil Bloomin' Heart cutout
1 - Real Red piece for stamping
1 - Basic Black satin ribbon
5 - Pearl jewels

Instructions:

Attach the Basic Black embossed card front onto the Real Red card front using Fast Fuse adhesive.
Attach the Real Red card front onto the Basic Black card base.
Attach the Red Foil Bloomin Heart to the Basic Black embossed card front using Dimensionals.
Add the Pearl jewels to the red foil heart.
Stamp the banner onto the Real Red piece.
Stamp the Be Mine sentiment onto the banner.
Cut out with scissors or use the banner Framelit from the Large Numbers Framelit set.
Attach the banner to the card front using Dimensionals.
Tie the black satin ribbon around the top of the card.

I wanted to create a card that would properly represent my family's "signature colors"... Simple, elegant, and classy with a touch of "manliness". I think I accomplished that. It's perfect to give to that special guy in your life. :)

Some of you have asked me if you should buy the Die Brush featured on page 19 of the Occasions Catalog. My answer is simple... YES!!!

It was so easy to remove all the teeny, tiny intricate pieces from all the Bloomin' Hearts I cut out for my card kits. It would have taken me For. Ev. Er. without it. The Die Brush is super simple to use. You just lay your cut out cardstock on the soft, spongy foam pad and gently roll the brush over the top. I say gently because with a die this delicate, you could accidentally tear your paper if you apply too much pressure. After rolling across a few times, the little pieces are loosened and easily fall out. Best 11 bucks I've spent in a long time!!

This may be the end of the Bloomin' Love Online Card Class, but it is just the beginning of my Starburst Sayings class!!!

hope you are enjoying my Bloomin' Love Online Stamp Class. Today I'm excited to announce my February online class!!

Joining is easy.

Stampin' Up! Bloomin' Love It's In The Air

Hi Stampin' Friends!!

Are you ready for another Bloomin' Love card? Well ready or not I have one for you!

Stamps: Bloomin' Love
Ink: Rose Red, Blushing Bride
Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Love Blossoms DSP
Accessories: Circle Punch, Banner Triple Punch, Blushing Bride Cotton Ribbon, Rhinestone Jewels, Wooden Heart (Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit), Stamping Sponges

Card kit includes:

1 - Crumb Cake card base
1 - Whisper White card front
3 - Love Blossoms DSP banners of varying sizes
1 - Whisper White circle
4 - Rhinestone jewels
1 - Wooden heart
1 - Blushing Bride cotton ribbon

Instructions:

Stamp the "it's in the air" sentiment on the bottom right corner of the Whisper White card front using Rose Red ink. (Do this step first, BEFORE attaching the card front to the card base in case you mess up and want to stamp again on the other side.)
Attach the Whisper White card front to the Crumb Cake card base using Fast Fuse or SNAIL.
Layer and attach the three Love Blossoms banners to the Whisper White card front using SNAIL or Fast Fuse. I slightly "curled" the bottom of my banners using my bone folder so that my banners would not lay too flat.
Ink up the heart stamp using Blushing Bride ink. Using a stamping sponge, add a little bit of Rose Red ink to parts of the stamp. "Huff" (breathe slightly) on your stamp before stamping onto the Whisper White circle.
Attach the Whisper White circle to the card front using Dimensionals.
Add Rhinestone jewels to the stamped heart image.
Place the wooden heart onto the card front using Glue Dots.
Tie the Blushing Bride cotton ribbon to the top of the card.

With a different sentiment, this card could be used for a variety of occasions. Birthday. Just because. Bridal Shower. Thinking of You. Welcome Baby. Really, it's up to your imagination!!

I finally bought myself some new stamping sponges. It's been well over five years since I purchased my first ones and they are starting to wear out. Especially the ones I use often. I decided to cut my sponges in eighths. I like them a little smaller. They are easier for me to get into tiny nooks and crannies with.

After cutting them to size, I punch out a Decorative Label in the same color as the ink I plan on using for that particular sponge. In this case, it is Rose Red. Then I fold it in half and staple it to the sponge. It acts as a handle and a reminder of what color ink is on the sponge.

Stamping Sponges #101610 are on page 163 of the regular catalog. They come three in a pack for only $3.50. Such a great bargain!! Make sure you add them to your next order.

I hope you are enjoying my Bloomin' Love Online Stamp Class. Today I'm excited to announce my February online class!!

Stampin' Up Bloomin' Love Friend

Hi Stampin' Friends!!

Today I have the second card from my Bloomin' Love Bundle Online Stamp Class. Even though this is technically a Valentine set, it can used for many other occasions, such as weddings, anniversaries, and even birthdays. Today's card could easily be used as a birthday card.

Stamps: Bloomin' Love
Ink: Rose Red
Paper: Whisper White, Rose Red, Garden Green, Blushing Bride, Love Blossoms DSP
Accessories: Bloomin' Heart Thinlits, Lovely Lace EF, Word Window Punch, Blushing Bride Cotton Ribbon, Sequins (from the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit)

Pssst... I decided to change the embossing folder after creating this card, so the one you get in your get is different. :)

Card kit contains:

1 - Whisper White card base
1 - Rose Red card front
1 - Whisper White embossed card front
(FYI... I changed the embossing folder for this kit. I wanted to make this card look less "valentine-y" and more "birthday-ish".)
1 - Garden Green Bloomin' Heart cut out
2 - Blushing Bride large flowers
3 - Rose Red small flowers
1 - Love Blossoms DSP strip
1 - Whisper White word window punch
1 - Blushing Bride cotton ribbon piece
10ish - Love Blossoms sequins (I didn't count very accurately. I'm sure you all got more than 10. I only used 9.)

Instructions:

Attach the embossed Whisper White piece to the Rose Red card front. I used Fast Fuse adhesive.
Attach the Rose Red card front onto the Whisper White card base.
Attach the Love Blossoms strip of paper to the left side of the Whisper White embossed card front. Again, I used Fast Fuse.
Attach the Garden Green Bloomin' Heart to the embossed card front. I used Liquid Glue.
Attach sequins to the centers of the flowers using Glue Dots.
Add flowers to the Bloomin' Heart using Dimensionals cut to size. I slightly bent the petals of my flowers up so they would not look so flat.
Stamp the Friend sentiment onto the Whisper White word window punch using Rose Red ink. Attach to bottom right corner using Dimensionals.
Add more sequins to the Bloomin' Heart using Glue Dots.
Tie the Blushing Bride ribbon to the left side of the card.

Die Cutting Tip:

If you need to die-cut more than one item, place all the dies on your Precision Base Plate cutting surface at the same time and roll through your Big Shot all at once. This will save you a TON of time!!
