Stampin' Up! Reason for the Season Collection

Hi Stampin' Friends!!

So sorry I've been away so long!! It's been a crazy couple of weeks.
First, I'm still getting acclimated to working M-F. Then my hubs needed emergency surgery to remove his gall bladder (He just had his two week check-up today and he's been cleared to surf. It's the important stuff. ;) ). Plus we are knee-deep in girl's water polo season. And there is this big holiday quickly approaching that I'm trying to get ready for.

I had to let a few things slide for awhile and blogging was one of them. But I need to share my Reason for the Season cards I created for my December card of the month class. I don't have time to write out all of the instructions, but if you have any questions, please email or text me. You all are pretty smart stampers and I'm guessing you can figure them out by just looking at the photos. So here they are...

I really love this stamp set. So glad it will still be available through May 31st. If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram you saw that I used this set for a few different activities I that I attended this month. Enjoy the card kits and have fun stamping them!!

I will be back on January 5th to announce my 2016 monthly online classes. So be sure to check it our and see if there are any stamp sets you were planning on purchasing. When you purchase a stamp set through my online class you will receive a card kit for FREE!!

I hope you all have a blessed Christmas. I love the sentiment that comes with the All Ye Faithful stamp set: "May the wonder of that first Christmas, the joy of God's abundant blessings, and the peace of the Lord be with you always."

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Stampin' Up! Watercolor Wings Soft Pretty Petals

Hey Stampin' Friends!!

Today I have the last two cards from my Watercolor Wings online stamp class. I just love how all four of these cards turned out. Both of the cards from today use DSP from the Pretty Petals Paper Stack. I {heart} this paper!! If you do not have it yet in your craft stash yet, you need to get it ASAP!! It is so pretty and versatile.

Watercolor Wings Just For You #3:

Stamps: Watercolor Wings
Ink: Soft Sky, Lost Lagoon, Basic Black
Paper: Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Pretty Petals DSP
Accessories: Bold Butterfly Framelits, Butterflies Thinlits, Honeycomb EF, Decorative Label Punch, Oval Punch, Pearl Jewels, Black Lace (retired)

Kit Includes:

1 - Very Vanilla card base
1 - Very Vanilla embossed card front
1 - Very Vanilla sheet for stamping
1 - Pretty Petals DSP piece
1 - Basic Black piece
1 - Basic Black butterfly cutout
1 - Basic Black label punch
1 - Very Vanilla oval punch
1 - strand of pearls
2 - medium pearls
1 - length of black lace

Instructions:
Stamp your butterfly wings first.
Start with the stamp that has the largest image on it. Stamp with Soft Sky ink.
Next, stamp the "inside" of the butterfly with Lost Lagoon ink (you could use Marina Mist).
Last, stamp the "outer edges" of the butterfly using Basic Black.
DO NOT stamp the butterflies body yet.
It should look like this...

Notice my "mess up" in the center? It's okay because it is going to get covered up when I layer the cutout butterfly on top.
Now cut out your butterfly using the Framelits.
Stamp the butterfly body using Basic Black.
It is easier to align the body AFTER the wings have been cut out.
Stamp your sentiment onto the Very Vanilla oval using Basic Black ink.
Adhere your Honeycomb embossed card front onto your Very Vanilla card base. I use Liquid Glue.
Layer your Basic Black piece and your Pretty Petals DSP on top of the card front at an angle.
Attach your sentiment onto your Basic Black Label punch. Add the two medium pearls.
Attach the sentiment to the bottom right corner of the card front using Dimensionals.
Put your strand of pearls onto the Basic Black butterfly cutout. Attach cutout butterfly to top of stamped butterfly using Dimensionals.
Add layered butterfly to card front using Dimensionals.
Tie black lace ribbon around card.
DONE!!!

And our 4th and final card...
Watercolor Wings You Are So Kind #4:

Stamps: Watercolor Wings
Ink: Soft Sky, Bermuda Bay, Pacific Point
Paper: Soft Sky, Very Vanilla, Pretty Petals DSP
Accessories: Bold Butterfly Framelits, Large Polka Dot EF, Washi Label Punch, Rhinestone Jewels, Taffeta Ribbon (retired)

Kit Includes:

1 - Soft Sky card base
1 - Very Vanilla embossed card front
1 - Very Vanilla sheet for stamping
1 - Pretty Petals Pacific Point strip
1 - Pretty Petals butterfly piece
1 - Soft Sky butterfly cutout
1 - Very Vanilla washi punch
1 - Taffeta Ribbon piece
Misc. Rhinestone Jewels

Instructions:
Stamp your butterfly wings first.
First stamp the "large" wings using Soft Sky ink.
Next, stamp the "inside" pattern and dots using Bermuda Bay ink.
Last, stamp the outside "edge" of the wings using Pacific Point ink.
If you do not have these exact colors, improvise with something you do have.
DO NOT stamp the butterfly body.
Cut out the butterfly wings using the Bold Butterfly Framelits.
Now it is okay to stamp the butterfly body using Basic Black ink. :)
Stamp your sentiment using Pacific Point ink onto your Very Vanilla washi punch.
Attach your Very Vanilla embossed card front to your Soft Sky card base. I use Liquid Glue.
Attach your butterfly pattern piece to the bottom of the card front.
Layer the Pacific Point pattern DSP on top of the card front.
Attach your sentiment to the bottom right corner of the card front using Dimensionals.
Attach the strand of rhinestones to the Soft Sky butterfly body.
Layer Soft Sky cutout butterfly to the larger butterfly using Dimensionals.
Add other rhinestones to larger butterfly.
Attach layered butterfly to the card front using Dimensionals.
Tie ribbon around the top.
DONE!!

I love how even though these two cards use essentially the same products, they look so different from one another. One has a more soft, vintage feel while the other one is more colorful and playful.

Stampin' Up! Watercolor Wings Hello! So Perfect!

Hey Stampin' Friends!!

I always have fun coming up with titles for my blog posts. Somewhere along the lines I read that you should always start the title with the words: Stampin' Up! for obvious search engine reasons. And then I usually follow it by the stamp set name or main product name. Then to make it a little more unique, I finish it with the partial names of the ink colors that I used for the projects.

Today's cards are from my Watercolor Wings Online Stamp Class that I offered during the month of August. Some of the colors I used for these two projects are: HELLO Honey, SO Saffron, and PERFECT Plum. Now you understand the random madness of today's blog post title. :)

But on to more important stuff STAMPING!!

Here is the first of four cards from my Watercolor Wings class:

Stamps: Watercolor Wings
Ink: So Saffron, Hello Honey, Perfect Plum, Basic Gray
Paper: Crumb Cake, Perfect Plum, Typeset DSP
Accessories: Fluttering EF, Scalloped Tag Topper, Bold Butterfly Framelits, Sahara Sand Lace Trim, Chevron Ribbon, Burlap Ribbon, Gold Foil Doilies, Linen Thread, Gold Sequin Trim, Twill Ribbon (retired)

Kit Includes:

1 - Crumb Cake card
1 - Perfect Plum embossed card front
1 - Typeset square for stamping
1 - Perfect Plum butterfly cutout
1 - Crumb Cake tag
1/2 - Gold Foil doily
1 - Chevron ribbon
1 - Twill ribbon
1 - Burlap ribbon
1 - Sahara Sand ribbon
1 - Linen Thread
1 - Gold Sequin trim

Instructions:

Stamp your butterfly wings first. Using So Saffron ink, stamp the most solid looking stamp onto the Typeset DSP.
Next, use Hello Honey (or Crushed Curry) for the outer edges of the wings.
Last, use Perfect Plum ink to stamp the inside part with the dots.
DO NOT stamp the body yet.

It is easier to stamp the body AFTER you cut out the butterfly. Which I soon found out after I took this picture. ;)
Cut out your butterfly using the Bold Butterfly Framelits.
NOW stamp your butterfly body using Basic Gray ink.
Using Perfect Plum ink, stamp your sentiment onto the Crumb Cake tag. I also stamped a row of Hello Honey dots under the words, but you cannot see them all that much.
Attach your Perfect Plum embossed card front to your Crumb Cake card. I like to use Liquid Glue when attaching anything that has been embossed.
Trim and notch out the end of your Burlap ribbon. Attach to card front with Glue Dots, leaving a place for your tag to slide under.
Attach Sahara Lace ribbon with Glue Dots.
Attach Chevron ribbon with Glue Dots.
Tie Twill ribbon to top of tag.
Glue Gold Foil doily under tag.
Attach tag under ribbons.
Attach small Perfect Plum cutout butterfly to top of larger Typeset butterfly using Dimensionals.
Attach layered butterflies to card front using Dimensionals.
Make a small loop using the Linen Thread. Attach under butterfly using Glue Dots.
Add random Gold Sequins using Glue Dots.
DONE!!

Watercolor Wings card number two. I like to refer to this card as my "garden wall" card. I actually looked up garden wall images on Google so I could get a sense of what to include on this card. They inspired me to "distress" my brick wall by sponging it. I love the effect!

Stamps: Watercolor Wings
Ink: So Saffron, Hello Honey, Perfect Plum, Basic Gray, Soft Suede
Paper: Hello Honey, Perfect Plum, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Brick Wall EF, Bold Butterfly Framelits, Butterflies Thinlits, Flower Frenzy die (retired), Itty Bitty Flower Punch, White Jute Ribbon, Expressions Natural Elements, Pearl Jewels

Kit Includes:

1 - Hello Honey card
1 - Perfect Plum card front layer
1 - Crumb Cake embossed card front
1 - Very Vanilla sheet for stamping
1 - Mossy Meadow "vine"
3 - Perfect Plum "flowers"
1 - White Jute ribbon
1 - Perfect Plum strip
1 - Wooden "Congrats" embellishment
3 - Pearls

Instructions:
Stamp your butterflies first onto your Very Vanilla cardstock. These are stamped a little differently than the previous card, but use the same three ink colors.
First, stamp the most solid butterfly stamp using So Saffron ink.
Next, stamp the inner wings with the dots using Hello Honey ink (or So Saffron).
Last, stamp the outer edges of the wings using the Perfect Plum ink.
(Follow these same steps for the small butterfly)
DO NOT stamp the body.

Cut out the butterflies.
Now stamp the bodies using Basic Gray ink.
The reason I think it is easier to stamp the body AFTER you cut out the butterfly, is it is difficult to judge how high or low the body should be placed. It is easier to figure out once it is cutout.
Using a sponge and Soft Suede ink, sponge the edges and front of your "brick wall". This will give it an aged look.
Attach the Crumb Cake "brick wall" to the Perfect Plum card front.
Attach both layers to the Hello Honey card.
Glue the Mossy Meadow "vine" to the front of the card.
Put the Pearls in the centers of the Perfect Plum flowers.
Attach the flowers to the card front using Dimensionals cut to size.
Cut the White Jute ribbon to 1" width. Then cut and notch one side to fit on card front. Attach with Glue Dots.
Cut and notch the Perfect Plum strip to fit onto the Jute ribbon. Adhere.
Adhere the wooden "Congrats" sentiment with Glue Dots.
Attach butterflies to card front using Dimensionals.
DONE!!

I will share the other two cards from this kit in the next couple of days.

Stampin' Up! Painted Petals Delightful Wonder

Hey Stampin' Friends!!

Today I have the last two cards from my Painted Petals April Online Stamp Class to share with you.

Stamps: Painted Petals
Paper: Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight
Ink: Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight, Wisteria Wonder
Accessories: On Film Framelits, Wisteria Chevron Ribbon, Wasabi Twine, Butterfly Punch, Rhinestone Jewels

Included in the kit:

1 - Wisteria Wonder card base
1 - Whisper White card front
1 - Daffodil Delight frame
1 - Whisper White large square
1 - Whisper White small square
1 - butterfly
3 - Rhinestone jewels
1 - Wisteria chevron ribbon

Stamp a row of Wisteria Wonder (or any light purple) dots on the bottom of the Whisper White card front. Attach the card front to the Wisteria Wonder card base.
Lay the Daffodil Delight frame on the large Whisper White square (DO NOT attach yet!). Stamp you sentiment onto the Whisper White card stock using Wisteria ink. Remove frame.
Stamp two sets of Wild Wasabi (or similar green) stems next to the sentiment.
Stamp flowers using Daffodil Delight (or any bright yellow).
Stamp an extra flower onto a scrap of Whisper White card stock and cut out. Attach with a Dimensional.
Using liquid glue, glue your frame onto your large square. You may need to trim the edges.
Using Dimensionals, attach the frame to the card front.
Place the rhinestones on the butterfly and add the butterfly with Dimensionals.
Tie the Wisteria ribbon and the twine.

And the final card in the kit:

Stamps: Painted Petals
Paper: Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Painted Blooms DSP
Ink: Sahara Sand, Blackberry Bliss, Wild Wasabi
Accessories: Label Framelits, Spring Flowers EF, Blackberry Stitched Satin Ribbon, Wild Wasabi Twine, Daffodil Candy Dots, Festive Paper Piercing Template

1 - strip of Painted Blooms DSP
3 - Daffodil Delight Candy Dots
1 - Blackberry Bliss ribbon

Using liquid glue (it works best on embossed paper), attach the Whisper White card front onto the Blackberry Bliss card base.
Again using liquid glue, attach the Painted Blooms DSP strip onto the embossed card front.
If you have the correct paper piercing template, pierce the Daffodil Delight label. If not, this step can be eliminated.
Stamp the gingham pattern onto the white label using Sahara Sand ink.

Stamp sentiment with Blackberry Bliss (or any dark purple) ink.
Stamp leaves using Wild Wasabi ink.
Stamp flowers with Blackberry Bliss.
Using Dimensionals, attach Whisper White label onto the Daffodil Delight label.
Again with Dimensionals, adhere Daffodil label onto card front. (You will have two layers of Dimensionals.)
Add Candy Dots to flower centers.
Tie ribbon and twine. The twine is double wrapped and tied with a bow instead of my usual knot. :)

Hey Stampin' Friends!!

For today's post I have two cards from my April Painted Petals Online Class. I am loving my online classes!! I hope you will join sometime.

Stamps: Painted Petals
Paper: Whisper White, Rose Red, Painted Blooms DSP, Color Collections DSP
Ink: Rose Red, Wild Wasabi
Accessories: Circle Punches, Elegant Butterfly Punch, Itty Bitty Accents Punch, Painted Blooms Twine, Decorative Dots EF, Rhinestone Jewels, Rose Red Grosgrain Ribbon (retired)

These are the circle punches I used:
2 1/2" Wild Wasabi
2" Whisper White
1 3/4" Rose Red

Kit includes:
1 - Whisper White card base
1 - Rose Red card front
1 - Painted Blooms DSP card front
1 - Wild Wasabi circle
1 - Whisper White circle
1 - Rose Red circle
1 - Daffodil Delight butterfly
3 - Itty Bitty flowers
6 - Rhinestones
1 - Rose Red ribbon

Notice I did not include the Wasabi twine, since that was something you were supposed to purchase for the class.

This card is fairly simple to create. Attach your card fronts to the card base.
Stamp your flower stems using Wild Wasabi ink or any green you have.
Stamp the tulips and sentiment in Rose Red or any pink ink you have.
Layer your circles on the card. The circle with the sentiment is attached with Dimensionals.
Add rhinestones to your butterfly and flowers.
Attach all pieces using Dimensionals.
Tie your ribbon and twine and you're done!!

I love how simple and colorful this card is. And it is easy to replicate with other colors and sentiments. It would be a great layout for a birthday card.

Here is the second card in the kit:

Stamps: Painted Petals
Paper: Rose Red, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White, Painted Blooms DSP
Ink: Rose Red, Wild Wasabi, Blushing Bride, Blackberry Bliss
Accessories: Paper Doily, Circle Framelits, Circle Punch, Artisan Embellishment (Rose Red Lace), Organza Ribbon, Painted Blooms Twine, Pearl Jewels

Kit includes:

1 - Rose Red card base
1 - Wild Wasabi card front
1 - Painted Blooms DSP car front
1 - Rose Red circle
1 - Paper Doily
1 - Whisper White circle
1 - Whisper White small circle
1 - Organza ribbon
1 - Rose Red lace
3 - Pearl jewels

Layer your card fronts onto your Rose Red card base.
Attach the Rose Red circle BEHIND the Paper Doily. Stamp your flower wreath.

Here is the steps I used while creating my wreath:

Stamp Rose Red flowers:

Stamp Blushing Bride flowers:

Stamp Blackberry Bliss flowers:

Stamp Wild Wasabi leaves:

Remember, if you do not have these exact inks, use something similar.

Next, you will stamp three more Rose Red flowers onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock and cut them out:

Attach cut-out flowers to your wreath using Dimensionals:

Trim excess card stock:

Using Dimensionals, attach flower wreath to the paper doily.
Stamp sentiment using Blackberry Bliss ink onto the small circle.
Attach sentiment to the center of the flower wreath using Dimensionals.
Add Pearl jewels to Blushing Bride flowers.

Tie Organza ribbon. Attach Rose Red lace using Glue Dots. If you have the Painted Blooms twine, attach two loops under the flower wreath using Glue Dots.

This card did not turn out how I imagined. But I grew to like it. So I kept it. It showcases a different way to use your Painted Petals stamp set. And that's always a fun thing.

Tomorrow I will share the next two cards in the Painted Petals card kit.
