After getting all my new Stampin' Up! goodies on Monday, all I want to do is stamp, Stamp, STAMP!!! But I do have children that need to be schooled, a husband who needs to be listened to, clothes that need to be washed, mouths that need to be fed, and blog posts that need to be written. If I didn't have those things to distract me, I would just stay in my pjs all day and stamp my little heart out!
Stamps: Sweetheart, Tiny Tags
Paper: Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party, Whisper White, Sweet Shop Specialty Designer Series Paper
Accessories: Adorning Accents Embossing Folder, Jewelry Tag punch, Heart Punch, Old Olive Striped Grosgrain, Vintage Trinkets, Baker's Twine
The Sweetheart stamp set is not new. It's been around for a couple of years. But I saw this darling layout by the amazingly talented Erica Cerwin and just had to CASE it!! Something that is new on this card is that incredibly delicious Sweet Shop Specialty Designer Series Paper!! I'm so glad my Stampin' Addict peep, Yapha Mason, recommend I buy it. I LOVE it!! Not only are the colors to die for cute, but two of the patterns of paper are embossed! Oh my it is just yummy!! It's available in the Occasions Mini Catalog on page 33. I think it's kind of fun to use "non-traditional" colors for holidays. Who says Christmas needs to be red and green or Valentine's Day needs to be red and pink?! Jump outside the box people!! :)
I've been busily working on more Valentine stampin' "love". Can you believe Valentine's Day is only a week away?! Seems like I just took down the Christmas decorations! I have a few more ideas I'm working on. Course that gives me a reason to play with all my new stuff!
I've also been busily creating card samples and kits for my upcoming birthday card class this Sunday. I have two cards created and prepped and the third card just needs to be adhered and then cut and prepped. Then I still need to design two more cards and cut and prep them. I have 12 ladies coming. I'm so excited! I haven't had a card class in about a year. I used to have classes once a month, with up to 20 people stamping. Craziness! That was when my kids were younger and not involved in anything and my hubby was not a youth pastor involved in everything! I couldn't imagine doing it every month right now. Some day when my life slows down, my stamping will speed up. Until then, I'll just keep plugging along.
Tomorrow I have a card using a new stamp set. Well it's not "technically" new since it's been in the catalog since last July, but it is new to me! It's one I've been wanting since the catalog came out and I finally bought. Yay for me!! :)
