Bring On MORE Cake!!

Hi Stamping Friends!!

Well I thought I would get lots of stamping done during my kids' Easter break, but that hasn't been the case!!! Well, that's not entirely true. I did stamp and send out 20 Easter cards to my aunts and uncles. But I want to do some "design" stamping. Hopefully today I will be able to work on the cards for my Bring On The Cake birthday card class. I'm so excited that the class is completely full!! I can't wait to stamp with everyone!!

Here are two cards that we will be making at the class:

I totally "borrowed" this idea from some cards that I've seen around the internet and I LOVE how it turned out!! It may be my favorite from the set!! We will see, as I still have more to create. :) So glad I purchased the Dress Form Framelits. I {heart} them!! I've also been using the Oval Framelits quite a bit. I'm really lovin' the Basic Gray and Summer Starfruit color combo on this card. Very elegant!

Here's another card:

How can you have a birthday card class and not use our darling Cupcake Punch?!! For the "lines" on the Soft Suede cupcake, I used the Woodgrain embossing folder. I thought it was the perfect texture!

Hope you have a chance to stamp today!!

Easter Treats

Hi Stamping Friends!!

Just wanted to pop in and share a couple of Easter treat ideas, since Easter is only one week away!! We are celebrating with my family today, so I needed to finish my treats up early.

I know there are two categories when it comes to Peeps. You're either a lover or a hater. It's pretty obvious which category our family falls into. I made these colorful treats for my nieces and nephews. And of course for my own kiddos too! They are super easy. You just need a skewer, some Peeps, a Stampin' Up! Cello Bag, and some Stampin' Up! ribbon of your choice. Me? I chose to use some retired grosgrain ribbon. Which I must say I miss having in the catalog. It was my "go-to" ribbon. Oh well!! At least Stampin' Up! has some amazing replacements!! They always know how to keep me happy!!

This next Easter treat is what I placed in the order bags of my monthly stamp club gals. I hope they like it!!

Tools I used to make this cute bunny are the Top Note die, Oval Framelits, Oval Punch, Circle Punches, Heart Framelit, Polka Dot Embossing Folder, and a Stampin' Up! Cello Bag. So quick and super easy!!! I filled them with mini Cadbury chocolate eggs.

Now you have two simple Easter treat ideas that will impress everyone, but won't take a ton of time to make. That way we can all enjoy Easter Break!! Can't wait to sleep in on Monday!!!

Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Sunday!

Paper Pumpkin Love!!!

Hi Stamping Friends!!

I was so excited the other day when my son brought the mail to me and he was carrying a bright red box. Yay!! My first Paper Pumpkin kit had arrived!! What is Paper Pumpkin you ask? Well let me tell you!

Paper Pumpkin is a monthly craft kit from Stampin' Up!. Each kit contains everything you need: stamps, paper, ink, accessories - all cut and measured and ready to create a fabulous project. Plus there is no mess, no extras, and no craft-aftermath!! How fun is that?! And the very best part of all? It's only $19.95 per month! And that includes shipping!!!

When you sign up for your Paper Pumpkin subscription, your first kit will be the Hey There Try It Kit. This is the kit I received in the mail this past week. In the months following, you will get a crafty surprise in the mail each month!! Each monthly project kit will be unique and will not be available for purchase anywhere else. And did I mention it is only $19.95 per month?!

So here is my kit when I first opened the box:

I was one of the lucky ones, as I got the fancy red box. Some kits had already been packaged in a kraft box. Isn't it cute how it is packaged all fancy with tissue paper and the paper pumkin sticker?!

Here is what was under the paper:

And here are all the supplies:

The Try It kit comes with a Clear Block D so you can use it on all future projects. You also get one-of-a-kind stamps that cannot be purchased anywhere else. Plus a wonderful instruction pamphlet.

Here is the card I made as per the enclosed instructions:

Cute, fun, and simple! Stampin' Up! "stickers" are not your typical stickers. They are more like adhesive backed card stock. They are really nice and thick.

Here is another card I made using all the same enclosed supplies, I just changed up the layout a bit:

I love the "hey there" sentiment. It's very sassy and fun. It's also a great general sentiment that can be used for lots of various occasions. My next two cards are ones that I've added some "stuff". If you've been around my blog long enough, you know I have a terrible time leaving a card alone. I like to add lots and lots of accessories!! :)

Here I added a layer of Lucky Limeade card stock, plus a few splashes of Tempting Turquoise. I also made a little bow from the Lucky Limeade Baker's Twine and I punched out my sentiment with an oval punch. And I couldn't resist adding a butterfly. I am in love with the Bitty Butterfly Punch!!

This next card is stepped up another notch. Maybe a little too high.

Can you say "a little much"? Yep. I couldn't stop on this one. I just kept adding and adding. And this is where I finally quit. But can't you see how much fun Paper Pumpkin is? You can keep it as simple as you want or as busy and colorful as possible!!

So are you ready to join yet? If so, go to: https://mypaperpumpkin.com/en/ and sign up with me as your demostrator. If you live in the Tulare County area, we can have a monthly Paper Pumpkin Party and stamp together!! Won't that be fun?! And did I mention that it is only $19.95 a month?!

Here is how I chose to store my Paper Pumpkin stamps and instructions:

I had an extra stamp case, so I cut my instruction pamphlet to fit inside the cover. Next month I will just but the newest instructions on the top. All the stamps will go on the inside. It's like my very own Paper Pumpkin stamp set!

P.S. Today is the LAST day to place your Sale-A-Bration order and earn FREE stamps!!! Don't miss out on Stampin' Up's! biggest sale of the year!! Visit my website TODAY and place your orders!!

I hope you have an awesome weekend! I am really looking forward to Easter Break next week. I'm going to finish designing cards for my Bring On The Cake birthday class and prepping the kits. I also hope to be able to design cards for my April stamp club. And I was invited to a Pinterest Party that I really want to go to. So I should have a stampinly sweet week!! I'm sure I will pop in here from time to time to share with you what I'm up to. :)

Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Stamping!

Sale-A-Bration 2013 is almost over!!!!

Hi Stamping Friends!!

I love Sale-A-Bration!! It is Stampin' Up's! biggest promotion of the year. How often does any company offer you FREE merchandise for purchasing such amazing products?! During SAB I always treat myself to something "big". I wait all year long to make my more expensive purchases. This year, I bought all new ink pads. In years past I have purchased the Big Shot, the Many Marvelous Markers set, and numerous Big Shot dies. I figure, if I'm going to spend the money anyway, might as make it worth my time and get something for FREE while I'm at it! It is also the time of year that I stock up on all my stampin' "essentials" for the year. I try and buy enough SNAIL refill, envelopes, card stock, etc. to last me all year long. Of course I'm always having to buy more Dimensionals, no matter how many I buy during SAB. I just can never have enough of them!!

Here is a card I made with my monthly stamp club gals that uses the Bloomin' Marvelous SAB stamp set. Remember, this stamp set is only available until Friday for FREE!! so place your online orders ASAP!!

BLOOMIN' MARVELOUS

I really love how this card turned out. The Easter Blessings stamp set is a single stamp that is available in the Spring mini catalog. I only used two colors of purple ink, Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant. I used the "stamping off" technique to get the multiple shades. Stamping off is where you ink up your image, stamp once and then stamp again without inking up your stamp again. It gives you a lighter color of the orginal color. Super easy and works great with solid image stamps, like the ones in Bloomin' Marvelous.

The satin ribbon is retired, but I just couldn't resist using it on this card. It is so elegant and rich. I really miss this ribbon. I've bought a lot of ribbon over the years and Stampin' Up's! satin ribbon was by far, hands down, the absolute BEST satin ribbon you could buy. Sigh. You could use our current Satin Organdy ribbon in it's place for this card. I'm really loving our new Oval Framelits as well. Can't wait to see what new Framelits will be avaialble in the June catalog. Framelits are my favorite "tool" right now!!

So if you don't have the Bloomin' Marvelous stamp set and this card makes you want to go out and get it, don't wait!! Place your Sale-A-Bration order by March 22 and get it FREE!!!

The sun is shining today, so I should be able to take some pictures of the cards I made using my Paper Pumpkin monthly kit. So fun having Stampin' Up! goodies show up in your mailbox in a cute red box!!

A Little Shamrock Treat

Hi Stamping Friends!

On Sunday I had "the stamping ladies" (aka my Spring Club gals!) over for our monthly afternoon of stamping. Since I already showed you pictures of two of our creations:

EARS TO YOU

and

SUNSHINE

Both of these single stamps are only available until March 31st, so don't forget to add them to your next order!!

Here's what "the stamp ladies" see when they get to my house on a typical stamping day:

I've got all their supplies cut and ready. Adhesive and Dimensionals all set. And on Sunday I had a special little shamrock treat:

Since our class landed on St. Patrick's Day, I thought it would be fun to give everyone a little Skittles rainbow. I just love our 1x8 cello bags. And what a bargain at only $2.50 for 50 of them!! They are perfect for giving little treats like Skittles or M&M's. And you don't need that many to fill them up! The shamrock is form the Got Treats set. I stamped it Gumball Green.

I'll be back later this week to share our other club card. I've also been working on more cards for my Bring On The Cake birthday card class. And I received my Paper Pumpkin kit in the mail and can't wait to get creating with that. So stay tuned!

Happy Stamping!

You Are My Sunshine

Hi Stamping Friends!

The two high schoolers had Tueday and Wednesday off this week, so the family headed down to Disneyland!! What a beautiful day in SoCal! Getting home at 11:30 pm is not fun though. Everyone is pretty tired and dragging their feet this morning. Me included!

Today I have another early "club" card to share. This uses the Sunshine single stamp that is only available until March 31st. I used to rock and sing my babies to sleep every night when they were little. "You Are My Sunshine" was always one of the songs that I sang. So I wanted this stamp as soon as I saw it.

SUNSHINE

How can you have a stamp called Sunshine and not use a bright, cheerful yellow like Daffodil Delight?! I paired it up with Gumball Green to give it a playful Spring look. I've seen some darling cards with this stamp using the chalkboard technique. But since I just showcased that technique in January with my club gals, I didn't want to repeat the same idea. Plus, this is about as close to a St. Patrick's Day card as I come. :)  I also finally inked up my Distressed Dots background stamp.

I only have 3 spots left for my Bring On The Cake stamp class featuring all birthday cards using the Bring On The Cake stamp set. Send in your registration deposit ASAP if you are interested in coming!

I hope you are having a sunshiney day!
Happy Stamping!

P.S. Remember to "like" my page on Facebook: Krystal's Cards - Stampin' Up! I usually pop in there more often than my blog to give Stampin' Up! updates and promotional reminders. Plus, if you don't like to read all my blather and just want to see pictures of pretty cards, that should be your first stop. ;)

Ears To You

Hi Stamping Friends!!

Normally I don't share my "club" cards until after I have class. But this week there are some special circumstances involved. Sets 3 and 4 of the current Single Stamps are only available until March 31st. My Spring Hostess Club is meeting this Sunday. And because one member already informed me that she was not going to be able to make it, I wanted to make sure that she had a chance to see what we will be stamping. That way she can order this adorable Easter bunny stamp:

EARS TO YOU

Isn't it just the cutest?! I chose to use the "happy easter" sentiment from the Delightful Dozen stamp set. The colors I used are Pool Party, Whisteria Wonder, Daffodil Delight, Pretty In Pink, and Certainly Celery. This card is more involved than I normally do for my club. I'm sure my stampers will have a love/hate relationship with it. They will love the card, but hate to make it. :)  But it's all good!

I also have a "club" card using the Sunshine stamp that I can't wait to share!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Bring On The Cake #3

Hi Stamping Friends!

I didn't have much stamping time this weekend, but I was able to enjoy a wonderful women's conference put on by Current for Women hosted by Jill Ludlow and her amazing team. What a beautiful time of reflection and rest. I so needed it!! I've known Jill for a number of years, but have never heard her speak. We ran around in the same homeschool groups for awhile. She shares a powerful testimony of how God has worked in her life. So neat to see how much her children have grown up in the last few years!!

Today I want to share another card from my upcoming Bring On The Cake birthday card class. The class is over half full already!! So if you plan on attending, send in your registration money ASAP!!!

BRING ON THE CAKE

This elegant birthday card would be perfect for any special female in your life, mom, sister, aunt, best friend. I'm trying to offer a wide variety of cards in this class so you can have the perfect card for everyone in your life. The DSP on this card comes from the Sycamore Street DSP that you can receive FREE through Stampin' Up!'s Sale-A-Bration promotion. Sale-A-Bration ends March 22 so be sure to place your $50 order soon!

I've been working on cards for my March Hostess Club. Hopefully I will be able to share them with you this week. Here are the details of the Bring On The Cake stamp class. I would love to have you join us!!

I hope you had a refreshing weekend! Enjoy your week!

Bring On The Cake #2

Hi Stamping Friends!!

Just a quick post today. I wanted to share another card from my Bring On The Cake card class. If you live in the Tulare County area, I would love to stamp with you! A $50 registration fee is due by March 20th. Spots are filling up fast, so don't wait! This is a "man" card. It's always difficult to have a masculine card that would work for any guy. Some guys like sports. Some fishing. Some racing, etc. Not all men are interested in the same thing. For women, you can make a general card with flowers and be able to give it to anyone. But not the guys. Until now!

BRING ON THE CAKE

So there it is! A "guy" card you can give to any guy!! Here are the details about the card class. Email me if you have more questions.

I'm off to my Friday job. Have a great weekend! Hope you get to stamp a little. Me? I get to hang out with some friends at a women's conference called Current. I can't wait!!

Happy Stamping!

A Birthday Pig Peek

Hi Stamping Friends!

Just thought I would give you a little sneak peek at one of the cards we will be making at my Bring On The Cake birthday card class.

Isn't he just the cutest?! The Melon Mambo little piggy comes from the Button Buddies stamp set. His party hat is punched with the Pennant punch. This class is so much to design for because the birthday cards will feature a wide variety of styles, like whimsical (like this little pig), classic, vintage, etc. Each card will have a unique look. Here are the details of the class if you would like to sign up.

If you can't attend the class, but are interested in stamping kits, you need to go check out https://mypaperpumpkin.com/en/.

Paper Pumpkin is a new monthly card kit subscription designed by Stampin' Up!. Just go to the link and sign up. Remember to use me as your demonstrator!! Then each month a new stamp kit will arrive at your door. It's a fun stamping surprise every month!! Each kit will contain everything you need to complete the project. You only need to supply a scissors and adhesive. And the very best part of all, it is only $19.95 per month. Including shipping!! How awesome is that?! You must sign up by March 10th to receive the March kit. If you sign up after March 10th, you will receive the April kit. You can cancel your subscription at any time. It's super easy peasy!! Email me if you have any questions.

I hope you have a stamp-tastic day!

Let's do it again!!

Hi Stamping Friends!!

We had an awesome time at my Delightful Dozen card class on Saturday!! Of course I was too busy "entertaining" and I forgot to take pics of the actual event!! But I did take some photos before the fun started...

These are the bags I made for all my stampers. I had eight ladies attend, which was the PERFECT number!! I can easily seat 8 people in my home. We sat around my kitchen table and a card table that I set up.

This is a close-up of the decoration I put on the bags. I added each stampers initial so they would know which bag was theirs. These kraft bags came from The Dollar Tree. You get two bags for $1.00 and they are great bags!!

These are the supplies that were in the goodie bags. Each stamper received the Delightful Dozen stamp set, Clear Block C, a cleaning cloth, envelopes, Dimensionals, and liquid glue, plus the Sale-A-Bration item that they chose.

And these are all the card "kits" that were also in the bags. I put all of the pieces to each individual card into a zip topped baggie. I found that it saves me a lot of supplies if I give them exactly what they need. I also gave them a sheet of Whisper White card stock to do all their stamping on. I tried something new this time. I pre-embossed all the card stock, so there was no waiting line at the Big Shot. Takes a little more prep time, but saves a TON of time on the day of the event. I only have one Big Shot, and since almost every card had some kind of embossing on it, they would have been waiting for days for their turn at the Big Shot. 12 cards is a lot to make in one sitting.

I had such a great time desiging and prepping and holding this class, that I've decided to do another one!! Announcing the Bring on the Cake birthday class!!

If you already have the Bring on the Cake stamp set and still want to come to the class, you can choose another stamp set of the same value. You will just need to bring your stamp set with you on the day of the class. Same applies for the Clear Block H. We will only be making 8 cards this time, but they will be more involved and detailed than the previous class. Also remember, you are not signed up for the class until I have received your $50 payment. Payments must be received by March 20th. Kits will include a  glue stick. If you prefer a different type of adhesive, just bring it with you on the day of the class. I can't wait to hear from you!!

Happy Stamping!
Krystal
