Hi Stamping Friends!! I can't believe the Christmas season is upon us!! And I've been in the Christmas mood all weekend, since we decorated our tree and got out all our garlands and nativity sets. We have only a few other details to finish, then the decorating is done! So naturally, I thought I would make a Christmas card for Arielle's ColourQ challenge. But she didn't make it easy on me. I love these colors together. I think they would make an awesome boy birthday card. But I really wanted to try them as a Christmas card. Now that was a challenge!!
SNOW SWIRLED
Not sure if I pulled it off completely, but it works. I should have taken a little extra time and heat embossed my snowflakes with white EP. They would have really popped off the blue that way. But it is such a pain for me to get out all the "stuff" and then turn right around and put it all away. Just call me a lazy stamper. :-) The card base is Wild Wasabi, layered with Tempting Turquoise. The polka dot DSP is from the Brights Color Stack. The snowflakes from teh Snow Swirled set are stamped with white Craft ink onto Pacific Point cardstock. Don't you just love the little bit of bling the Basic Rhinestones add? I don't know what I did before Stampin' Up! sold these little keepers. I think I could put them on every card!
The fun sketch comes from my favorite Stampin' Up! only hangout, Stampin' Addicts. They have weekly sketch challenges that you can play in any time. This is sketch SASC54, originally posted on May 27, 2010. But since there is no time limit to the challenge, I'm playing along now. If you love Stampin' Up!, come check us out sometime!! You'll love the alphabetized gallery.
Be sure to stop by the ColourQ and check out what the other design team members have created. And I hope you can play along with us!!
Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Stamping!
