Stampin' Celebration Challenge #56

Hi Stamping Friends!!
It's already the first of the month and you know what that means... Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge!!! And this month we are getting a little beachy and celebrating.. S U M M E R!!

Love all these fun summer inspiration pics that Cori picked out. I especially love the blue and orange color combo. That was my main inspiration.

UP, UP, and AWAY

Stamps: Wacky Wishes, Up, Up, and Away
Paper:  Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Polka Dot Parade DSP, Summer Smooches DSP
Accessories:  Apothecary Framelits, Paper-Piercing Pack, Silver Brads, Dimensionals, Twill Tape (retired)

After looking through my stamp sets for this challenge, I decided I really need some new "boy" stamps. I couldn't find anything beachy or summery or boyish. Any excuse for more stamps!! :)

My summer has been super crazy busy fun so far. Lots of swim meets (and practice), water polo games (and practice), and driving kids around to all of it! (Okay, so we mostly just go from one pool to another, but at least it's something!) How about yours? I'm just glad I "had" to stamp for this challenge, or I may have never got around to stamping this summer!! I did get to stamp with my club ladies last Sunday and had a blast. I'll share our creations with you soon.

Make sure you hop along the SCIC Design Team Blog Hop and see what all those talented stampers have created. And then don't forget to visit the Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge and play along with us. We would be thrilled to have you!!!

Stampin' Celebration Challenge #55

Hi Stamping Friends!
I can't believe it is June 1st already! Only one more week of school for us!!! Woo! Hoo! And today is the first day we can order out of the brand new Stampin' Up! catalog!! And besides all that excitement, the first of the month always means another inspiration challenge over at the Stampin' Celebration Challenge blog!! If you've been hopping from the other fabulous SCIC Design Team blogs, then you just came from Erin's blog... welcome!

Isn't this so fun and funky?! Erica picked out all these diva-styled inspiration pics this month and I just love them!! You just can't go wrong with the classic color combo of pink and black.

MAKE A CAKE

Stamps: Make A Cake, Itty Bitty Banners
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Rose Red, Floral District DSP
Accessories: Perfect Polka Dots Folder, Bitty Banner Framelits, Baker's Twine, Scallop Dots Ribbon, Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Rhinestone Jewels

Lots of fun new stuff on this card! Both stamp sets and the DSP are new. I thought the Make A Cake set was perfect for this challenge, because of the polka dots and the banner. And the Rose Red pattern in the Floral District DSP was the perfect match! I'm really looking forward to ordering new things from this catalog. As always, Stampin' Up! hit a home run with this catalog. I love it!!

I was planning on making another scrapbook page as well, but when my son went to print his English report at 9pm at night, we realized there is NO black ink in the printer! Lucky for him, he could print his paper in dark blue ink, but that wouldn't work to print photos. Hopefully I'll have time later this month to come back to this challenge and play again.

I know the rest of the SCIC Design Team has done an amazing job with this challenge (they always do!). Make sure to check out there blogs and see what sort of diva-style creations they have stamped.

Stampin' Celebration Challenge #54

Hi Stamping Friends!
It's the first of the month and that means it's time for another Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge!!! This month we have a rainbow of colorful inspiration to get your stamping groove going!

Isn't this so fun?!! That rainbow jello dessert just makes me drool. And all those yummy, colorful fruits. I can't wait for summer!!

OVAL ALL

Stamps: Oval All (soon to be retired!)
Paper:  Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Summer Smooches DSP (available June 1)
Accessories:  Tasteful Trim die, Daisy die, Scallop Oval Punch, Oval Punch

For this card I got my inspiration from the picture of the cute daisy centerpieces. How fun would those be for a summer party? If you didn't order your Summer Smooches DSP during the month of April... why not?! Now you will have to wait until the new catalog comes out to get it. But I just couldn't resist using it for this challenge, since the colors are just perfect!!

WORD PLAY

Stamps: Word Play
Paper:  Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Rich Razzleberry, Summer Smooches DSP
Accessories:  Label Framelits, Tasteful Trim die, Round Tab Punch (soon to be retired)

This is an 8x8 scrapbook page of my daughter, who will be graduating from 8th grade soon. I think this sentiment from Word Play is perfect for graduation projects. I love the flag/pennant trend. It's a fun, simple way to decorate a scrap page. I just use the corner of my square punch to trim the little "v" into the tail of the flags. Super easy!

Now that you have seen my colorful projects, it's time to visit the other Stampin' Celebration Design Team members blogs and see what amazing stamp projects they have created!

SCIC #53 Take 2

Hi Stamping Friends!!
I can't believe it's been two weeks since I posted last! Time sure flies when you're busy hauling kids around!!  :)  It's swim season right now which means lots of practices and lots of meets. And this has been one of the coldest swim seasons. There is nothing worse than having to be a "timer" at a swim meet when it is cold and rainy and kids are splashing you when they dive in the water!!!

Just want to remind you that there is still 10 days left to participate in the Stampin' Inspiration Challenge.  We hope you will play along with us!!  If you missed the Design Team blog hop for this challenge, then you are going to want to check out all this Stampin' Up! goodness!

I was so excited to get a new recruit during Sale-A-Bration. Lori called me out of the blue after finding me on the SU! demo finder. We finally had her first workshop yesterday. I haven't done a workshop at someone else's house in quite a while. It was nice to let someone else clean and get the snacks together!! Here are two of the cards I demoed for Lori and her friends.

OVAL ALL

Stamps: Oval All
Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Lucky Limeade, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Summer Smooches DSP
Accessories: Beautiful Butterflies die, Tulip Frame EF, Perfect Polka Dots EF, Razzleberry Grosgrain, Scallop Oval Punch, Oval Punch, Basic Pearls

I've used this layout before and love it, so I thought I would use it again. Actually, it is a great card to showcase the Big Shot, since it uses dies and embossing folders. And Lori was interested to see how the Big Shot worked. I love the Summer Smooches DSP. It's so colorful and cheerful. Perfect way to brighten up a rainy day! So glad it will be in the new catalog in June. You can order it now, through April 30th.

MIXED BUNCH

Stamps: Mixed Bunch, Bring On The Cake
Paper: Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
Accessories: Blossom Punch, Circle Punch, Button, Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon, Dimensionals

This is very similar to a card I posted previously. I just changed the sentiment, added the ribbon, and used Lucky Limeade instead of Basic Black. I love the Mixed Bunch stamp set and wanted to show it off. Actually, I love any stamp set that has a matching punch. I'm a sucker for all things matchy-matchy. Must be why I love Stampin' Up! products so much!!

I'm hoping I will post again before 2 weeks flies by. Funny thing is I have plenty of card pics on my computer just waiting to share with you. Now if someone would just post them to my blog!! :)  Also looking forward to stamping with my club gals in the very near future. Can't wait to show them the new purse die!!!

Remember, you can also find me on Facebook. I post more updates and reminders on Facebook than I do here. It's just faster and easier!! :) So be sure to "like" my page: Krystal's Cards - Stampin' Up (there is a link in my sidebar). And if you are a Pinterest fan like myself, you can also "follow" me there. I have over 3,000 "pins". Most of which are Stampin' Up! related ideas.

Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge #53

Hi Stamping Friends!!
I'm so excited for today!!! It's been almost a year since we've done a Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge, but we are back!!

EASTER DOVE

Stamps:  Easter Dove
Paper:  Lucky Limeade, Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Cheerful Treat DSP
Accessories:  Daisy die, Decorative Label Punch, Big Button (retired), Concord Crush Twill Ribbon, Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Basic Pearls, Baker's Twine

TRIPLE TREAT

Stamps:  Triple Treat, Blessing From Heaven
Paper:  Whisper White, Concord Crush, Lucky Limeade, Cheerful Treat DSP
Accessories:  Two Tag die, Fancy Flower Punch, 5-Petal Punch, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, Magnet Sheets

I really loved the picture with the "grass" place mats and the Gerbera daisies. So I went with a little bit of a brighter color palette. And I just love the Cheerful Treat DSP that is available as a hostess benefit. It has such cute patterns!! I really wanted to make a "SPRING" banner for this challenge, but time just was not on my side. The Triple Treat card is actually a bookmark. There are two magnets on the Tag and you can "clip" it over the page in your book. Just won't be able to keep your place on any E-reader!!

The fun, new part about the Stampin' Celebration Challenge is that we are going "Blog Hop" status. Each month you can hop along and visit each Design Team Members blog and see what fabulous stamping creations they have made!! And don't forget to stop by the Stampin' Celebration Challenge blog and post a link to your own Inspiration Challenge project. We would love to see what our challenge pictures have inspired you to create.

Here is a list of the SCIC Design Team. Make sure and visit their blogs!!

Stampin' Celebration #37

Hi Stamping Friends!!
Love is in the air at the Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge!!  Aren't all those little "love birds" just too cute!!  We hope you will stop by and play along with us this week.  I thought these inspiration pictures were so adorable, that I decided to make two cards.  Bummer is, I only uploaded one of them to our SCIC Ning page and the other is stuck in my desktop PC which is sitting at the shop right now!  If I have time in the morning, I'll take another pic of my other card and add it to this post.  Sorry if you are an email subscriber and get two emails from me tomorrow!  I'll try and get it changed before my post gets sent to you.  ETA:  I added my second card!

SEASON OF FRIENDSHIP

Stamps:  Season of Friendship, Filled With Love
Paper:  Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, Pretty In Pink, Whisper White, Playdate DSP
Accessories:  Owl Punch, 3 Heart Punch, Striped Grosgrain, PP Taffetta Ribbon, Brads, Scallop Edge Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Heart-to-Heart Embosslit, retired flower brad, Curly Label Punch

I was inspired by the little owl on the cupcake pick and also by the tree with the birdies hanging from it.  This card ended up with more "stuff" on it than I had intended.  Have you ever had that happen before?  When you just don't know how to stop?  I really need to work on a more clean and simple look.  Sometimes I just think I get too carried away.  This fun sketch comes from the Paper Players.

Here is the second card I made.  Please ignore the terrible pic.  We have no sun (haven't for weeks!) so I had to use my stamping lights.  Thus, the horrible background!

BE MY VALENTINE

Stamps:  Be My Valentine, Love You Much
Paper:  Real Red, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, Pretty in Pink Patterns DSP, Red Glimmer Paper
Accessories:  Heart Pressed Letterpress Plate, Versamark Ink, Irridescent Ice EP, Scalloped Heart-of-Hearts Embosslit, Large Heart Punch, Heart of Hearts Punch, White Satin Ribbon, Basic Pearls, Brights Designer Buttons

I was inspired by the adorable pink and red color theme and all the hearts.  This card is super sparkly IRL.  My original pic shows it much better.  For the letterpress background, I inked up the plate with Versamark, then ran it through my Big Shot, then sprinkled it with Irridescent Ice EP and then heat set it.  I also stamped the main Be My Valentine image with Real Red Craft Ink and then sprinkled it with Irridescent Ice EP as well and embossed it.  My hostess club will be making this card on Saturday afternoon.

For this card I used the Techno Stamper sketch challenge: TSSC158.  I also used the theme challenge from the Hand Stamped Sentiments blog: HSS52 which is to use hearts on your card.  I think I accomplished that!!  And now back to our original post...

Be sure to stop by the Stampin' Celebration blog and see what the other Design Team members have created.  As always, they have stamped some adorable samples.  And we hope you can play along with us this week!!

Remember, tomorrow is the Stampin' Addicts Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop.  You won't want to miss it!!  I will be featuring the set, Wellness Wishes.

Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge #36

Hi Stamping Friends!!
It's time for another inspiration challenge from Stampin' Celebration!  We would love if you stopped by and played with us this week.  I love the colors in these photos.  How could you ever go wrong with pink and brown?  Flowers and chocolate... it's the perfect combination!

BIRTHDAY BLISS

Have you ever had a card get lost in the interpretation?  This card looked so much better in my head.  But when I made it, I was not thrilled with how it turned out.  It's not a bad card, it's just not what I thought it would be.  If I had had more time, I would have re-worked it.  But that just did not happen.  Oh well, sometimes you hit it out of the park, and sometimes you just make it on base.  But at least I didn't strike out completely.  :)

The card base is Chocolate Chip layered with Whisper White and a piece of Blushing Bride DSP.  The cupcake was made using the Big Bold Cupcake Sizzlets.  I ran the bottom "chocolate" piece through the crimper and added the polka dots to the "frosting" using the Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder.  The little flowers were punched out with the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack.  The sentiment comes from the Birthday Bliss set.  The layout for this card comes from the Mojo Monday sketch challenge.

Please stop by the Stampin' Celebration blog and see the fabulous creation the other Design Team members have made for this challenge.  You won't be dissappointed!  And make sure you come back here to tomorrow.  I have a My Digital Studio digi scrap page to share with you using these colors.  I think it is my favorite digi page ever!!!

Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Stamping!

SCIC35... Scrapbook Style!

Hi Stamping and Scrapping Friends!!
I'm still celebrating with the Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge!!  And I hope you will join the party too!  Check out our darling new blog look at the SCIC and play in this week's challenge and you could have the chance to win some fabulous SU! BLOG CANDY!!

For today's project I used the inspiration photos to design a digital scrapbook layout using My Digital Studio.  I can't believe I'm actually admitting this, but I'm loving digi scrapping!!  I thought I would always be a tried and true paper scrapper, but times are a changing.  Using MDS is soooooo easy.  And there is absolutley NO mess after you are finished!!!

This fabulous sketch came from the Saturday Scrapbook Sketch Challenge at the My Digital Studio website.  This is ScrapSketch13.  I love visitng the MDS website everyday for great inspiration and tips.  It's where I've learned everything there is to know about MDS!

I can't wait to see you over at the Stampin' Celebration party!!  We'd love for you to visit us!

Thanks for stopping by!

SCIC35 A Party with Candy!!!

Hi Stamping Friends!!
I'm super excited today beacuse we have lots of fun news over at the Stampin' Celebration Challenge blog!!

First off, the Stampin' Celebration blog has an adorable new look, thanks to the fabulously talented Rochelle Gould!  In one of our SCIC Design Team chit chat forums, I casually mentioned that I wanted a new SCIC blog badge, and was anyone interested in creating a new one.  Well Rochelle not only created a new badge, but all the components for a whole new blog!  And what's really cool, is since the Design Team is made up of all Stampin' Up! demonstrators, Rochelle used My Digital Studio to create the whole thing!!

And when you stop by the SCIC, make sure you say hello to our two new Design Team members, Cori Kozak and Marlene Peters.  We are so thrilled that they have joined our party!

And lastly, you want to make sure that you participate in the Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge this week, because we are offering up some Stampin' Up! BLOG CANDY!!!  Each of our 3 "Pick of the Party" winners will recieve a box of SU! goodies donated by our design team members.  Be sure to go to the SCIC blog and check out the requirements of how you could win!

And now on to my projects.

CRAZY FOR CUPCAKES  #111618   $23.95

This super cute sketch comes from the Clean & Simple blog.  This is sketch FTL122.  The card base is Whsiper White, layered with squares of DSP from the Patterns Pack, Playdate, and the retired Island Oasis.  The squares are layered on a piece of Old Olive cardstock that has been punched with the Scallop Edge punch.  The balloon image is from the Crazy for Cupcakes set.  I stamped them with black ink and then cut them out.  I popped a couple of them up with Dimensionals for some added depth.  The colors I used are Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, Tempting Turquoise, and Old Olive.

PARTY HEARTY   #111532   $26.95

I made this cute little "bag" uisng the Fancy Favor box.  The front design is based loosely on the Monday Lunchtime sketch from the TechnoStamper.  This is sketch TSSC156.  The little gift images are from the Party Hearty set.  This would make the perfect little gift bag to tuck a small gift or gift card inside.  It would also make a fun party favor, if it was filled with lots of yummy candy!!

I hope you will join this week's celebration at the Stampin' Celebration blog.  Play along and you could win some fabulous SU! blog candy!  And be sure to stop back by tomorrow.  I have another My Digital Studio layout that goes along with this challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Stamping!
