This weekend I participated in an all-day crafting fundraiser to benefit the Vista Pregnancy Resource Center. The event lasted from 9am to 9pm and I stayed the whole time!! Here are the thank you cards I made:
Stamps: Four You (this set is on "The List" get it before it's gone!!) and Petite Petals
Paper: Whisper White, Moonlight DSP stack, (middle card is a retired DSP stack I can't remember the name of)
Accessories: Petite Petals Punch, Hello Honey Ribbon (also on "The List", Red Cotton Ribbon, Rhinestone Jewels
EDITED TO ADD: Many have asked the size of the strips of DSP. They are 5 1/4" x 1 1/4".
I love how these turned out. Now I'm ahead of the game for next months cards!! I saw this layout online and knew it would be easy to replicate. I precut all my paper pieces and had my card bases all scored, folded, and cut. So all I needed to do was glue down my paper strips, stamp the sentiment and flower, assemble, and tie the ribbon. Super easy!!
Here are some pics from the day that I posted on FB and IG. Are you following me yet?
I even made a few cards for the center. They give each new mom a basket of items when their babies are born. Diapers. Pajamas. Formula. Etc. They also include baby announcements. They had kits available for the attendees to make the announcements. All told, we completed 50 sets of 6.
I also participated in a card swap. These are the cards I received:
Here is the card I swapped:
I had a lot of ladies stop by my table before I turned in my swaps and tell me that they liked my card. One gal even took a picture of it. :)
The Butterfly Bundle is my May Online Stamp Club. Visit this blog post for all the details:
They had a TON of free give-aways all day. My favorite was FREE admission to the Scrapbook Expo!! I've never been and they are having one in San Diego so I MUST go. Maybe next year I should offer to do a Stampin' Up! freebie. :)
I didn't win any of the door prizes. But the Stampin' Up! "opportunity basket" (fancy word for raffle prize) I donated got lots of attention. The gal who won it even gave me a hug she was so excited!! :)
I look forward to attending again next year. I had a wonderful time meeting new people, eating yummy food, and of course STAMPING! The best thing is they raised $27,000 for the Vista PRC. All-in-all a very good crafting day.
Be sure to check out the Stampin' Up! Retirement "Last Chance" List. Some items are being sold "while supplies last" and they are going fast! Here is a link to: "The List"
Be sure to visit again on Friday. I will be participating in a blog hop featuring stamp sets and supplies that are on "The List". I chose Stippled Blossom and have been having fun playing with this set again. It will probably be put on my "keep" pile. :)
Be sure to follow all my stamping antics on social media:
Wednesday and Thursday I will be posting my Painted Petals April Online Class cards. I haven't mailed the kits yet, but I'm excited to share the cards and don't want to wait!!
Thanks for stopping by!
Stamp Something!!
