Missed me? I've been stamping my little heart out, just not blogging. Because... WATER POLO!! And a lot of it. All three kids play and it keeps us plenty busy during the summer. Usually dad is watching at one pool while mom is watching at another. So blogging always takes a back seat at this time of year.
I'm still offering my Online Stamp Classes throughout the summer so I get to share the super fun card kits I sent out today. They feature the Sprinkles of Life stamp set and coordinating Tree Builder punch.
We interrupt this blog post with exciting water polo news...
My daughter's club team qualified for the USA Water Polo Junior Olympics!!! WHOOP! WHOOP! :)
Now back to our regularly scheduled stamping fun...
Sprinkles of Life Card #1
Stamps: Sprinkles of Life
Ink: Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush, Daffodil Delight, Chocolate Chip
Paper: Daffodil Delight, Cucumber Crush, Watermelon Wonder, Tip Top Taupe, Cherry On Top DSP
Accessories: Tree Builder Punch, Woodgrain EF, Cucumber Dotted Lace Trim, Dimensionals
Kit Includes:
1 - Daffodil Delight card base
1 - Cucumber Crush embossed card front
1 - Cherry On Top DSP strip with cherry pattern
1 - Cherry On Top DSP strip with Cucumber Crush pattern
1 - Tip Top Taupe piece for stamping
2 - Watermelon Wonder pieces for stamping
1 - Cucumber Crush piece for stamping (not shown)
1 - Cherry On Top DSP square with Daffodil Delight pattern
1 - Whisper White square
Instructions:
Glue Cucumber Crush card front onto Daffodil Delight card base.
Attach Cherry On Top strips to bottom of Cucumber Crush card front. (Glue the cherry pattern first and then the cucumber pattern on top, as I cut the cherry pattern a little "thick" on purpose.)
Stamp the tree trunk image using Chocolate Chip (or any darker brown) ink onto the Tip Top Taupe cardstock. Use Tree Builder punch to cut out.
Stamp two treetop images using Cucumber Crush (or any bright green) ink onto the Cucumber Crush cardstock and cut out with Tree Builder punch.
Stamp the flower stem images along the bottom of your Whisper White square using Cucumber Crush ink.
Stamp the flower image onto the stems using Daffodil Delight ink.
Glue down your "tree trunk" slightly to the left on your square.
Attach both "tree tops" onto the tree trunk. The higher one I glued down and the lower one I attached with Dimensionals.
Stamp the "Spread the Love" sentiment (or any sentiment you like) next to your tree.
Attach your Whisper White square onto the Daffodil Delight pattern square.
Stamp the basket image using Chocolate Chip ink onto the Tip Top Taupe cardstock. Cut out using scissors.
Glue your "basket" on the lower right corner of your card front.
Attach your tree scene using Dimensionals.
Stamp your apple image (One at a time!) using Watermelon Wonder (or any bright reddish pink) ink onto the Watermelon Wonder strips. Punch out using the Tree Builder punch.
Here is a tip on how to get more apples per strip:
Stamp your apple image the "long" way (Remember... One at a time!) on the cardstock and then slide your strip under the cloud area to punch out. This saves so much paper!!
You need a total of 9 apples for this card. (You need one extra "apple" for another card. So just go ahead and punch out 10.)
I cut 3 apples "in half" to make them look like they were inside the basket.
Then I glued 2 more apples above these. I finished it off by layering 3 apples on top of these with Dimensionals.
I also added one apple to my tree using Dimensionals.
Finally, tie the Cucumber Crush Dotted Lace Trim around your card.
Lots of fun little details on this card!!
Sprinkles of Life Card #2
(outside)
(inside)
Stamps: Sprinkles of Life
Ink: Tip Top Taupe, Bermuda Bay
Paper: Watermelon Wonder, Pool Party, Tip Top Taupe, Whisper White, Cherry On Top DSP
Accessories: Tree Builder Punch, Circle Flip Card Thinlit, Elegant Dots EF, Washi Label Punch, Candy Dots
Kit Includes:
1 - Watermelon Wonder embossed flip card
1 - Cherry On Top DSP strip with balloon pattern
1 - Pool Party circle
1 - Cherry On Top DSP Daffodil Delight scallop circle
1 - Tip Top Taupe piece for stamping
1 - Cherry on Top DSP piece with "sprinkle" pattern for stamping
1 - Whisper White circle
1 - Whisper White Washi Label punch out
Instructions;
Glue Daffodil Delight scallop to the Pool Party circle.
Glue Pool Party circle to front of flip card.
Adhere the Cherry On Top balloon DSP strip to the right side of card base.
Using Tip Top Taupe ink (or any lighter brown ink) stamp the cupcake bottom image onto the Tip Top Taupe piece. Cut out using scissors.
Stamp the cupcake "frosting" image using Tip Top Taupe ink onto the "sprinkle" pattern DSP. Punch out using the Tree Builder punch.
Attach your cupcake bottom and top to the Daffodil Delight scallop using Dimensionals.
Stamp the "Happy Birthday" sentiment using Bermuda Bay (or any bright blue) ink onto the Whisper White Washi Label punch out.
Glue half of the Washi Label sentiment to the front of the card. The other half is not attached to anything so it "moves" when the card is opened.
Attach the Candy Dots on either side of the sentiment.
Stamp the "Money can't buy happiness..." sentiment to the Whisper White circle using Bermuda Bay ink.
Attach the Whisper White circle to the inside of your card.
And you are done with your first two cards!!!
Tip of the Day:
Always remember to STAMP FIRST!! Stamp before cutting out anything. Stamp before adhering or gluing down anything. This way if you mess up your stamping, you can flip over your paper and try again.
Thanks for hanging with me to the end! I hope you enjoy your first two Sprinkles of Life cards. I will be back tomorrow with the second two. And then I will be MIA for awhile again. I'm heading to Iowa for my girlfriend's daughter's wedding. Just me. By myself. On an airplane. With no responsibilities. Guess I better get packing!!!
Thanks for stopping by!
Stamp Something!!
