Stampin' Up! Howl-o-ween Friends Two Cards One Sketch

Hey Stampin' Friends!!
Happy Saturday!! I'm blogging on a Saturday! I've been on a roll lately with the card making so I figure I better run with it. Not every month is this creative. But with all the holidays at the end of the year, there is a lot of reason to create!!!

Today I even have TWO cards for you!! I know right?! Can you believe it?! I needed to make some thank you cards for my Online Class participants so I found a fun sketch and went to town. But then I realized that today is Halloween and how can I do a post on Halloween and not have a Halloween card?! So I used the same sketch and used it to create a Halloween card.

In celebration of Trick or Treaters all over your neighborhoods, here is my FaBOOlous Halloween card:

Stamps: Howl-o-ween Treat, Six Sayings
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Tangelo Twist, Basic Black
Paper: Tangelo Twist, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Happy Hauntings DSP, Silver Glimmer
Accessories: Boo To You Framelits, Spider Web Doily, Rich Razzleberry Cotton Ribbon

I just recently received the Hostess stamp set Six Sayings and I wanted to use the darling "FaBOOlous" sentiment before it was too late. Next week on my blog I will be featuring the Wondrous Wreath stamp set paired with Six Sayings sentiment set. It should be fun!

And here is the thank you card that I created for my Online Class:

Stamps: Snow Place, One Big Meaning (sentiment)
Ink: Basic Black, Tangelo Twist marker
Paper: Whisper White, Silver Foil, Silver Glimmer, Retired DSP
Accessories: Snow Friends Framelits, Silver Foil Doily, Silver Cord, Rhinestone Jewels, Banner Triple Punch

Isn't that little penguin just the cutest?! I {heart} him!!! I can't wait to design the cards for my November Online Stamp Class.

The sketch that I used comes form the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog. Make sure and visit them to see their fabulous samples!! This is sketch SFF102315. Here is the sketch:

If you have a chance you should play along! It's always fun to see other people's creative take on a sketch.

Stampin' Up! Howl-o-ween Treat Challenge

Hi Stamping Friends!!

SU-per excited to being playing along in another challenge today!! It's called SU-per Challenges and it's all in Dutch. I may be of Dutch heritage but I can't speak or read a word of it. But I love all the samples they shared. They have a fabulous design team. So I decided to join them this week!! That and this week's challenge is easy... Halloween!!

Stamps: Howl-o-ween Treat
Ink: Basic Black
Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Basic Gray, Black Glimmer, Silver Glimmer, Whisper White
Accessories: Woodland EF, Spider Web Doily, Boo to You Framelits, 2 1/2" Circle Punch, Rich Razzleberry Cotton Ribbon

I sponged a little bit of Basic Gray ink on the background to give it a "spooky" look. I really love the Woodland embossing folder. It's great for all the fall holidays: Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. It is super versatile.

Make sure you stop by the SU-per Challenges blog and check out all the fabulous Halloween goodies. You still have one week left so go get inspired!!

Can you believe that Halloween is only a week away?! The last two months of the year are going to fly by. I better get my thinking cap on and figure out what I'm going to do about Christmas cards this year.

Speaking of Christmas... Stay tuned on Monday when I will be announcing my next Online Stamp Class featuring the Snow Place stamp set and matching Snow Friends Framelits. They are so much fun!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Stampin' Up! Howl-o-ween Treat Bag

Hey Stampin' Friend!!

This month with my normal 4 cards in my Howl-o-ween class kit, I also added a couple of extra bonus projects for my class participants.

The first one is a treat bag:

Stamps: Howl-o-ween Treat
Ink: Basic Black
Paper: Happy Haunting DSP, Black Glimmer, Silver Glimmer
Accessories: Boo to You Framelits, 2 1/2" Circle Punch, Spider Web Doily, Star Punch, Kraft Polka Dot Gift Bag (retired)

Kit Includes:

1 - Polka Dot Gift Bag
1 - Spider Web Doily
1 - Happy Haunting DSP circle
1 - Happy Haunting Strip
1 - Happy Haunting Banner
1 - Black Glimmer hat
1 - Silver Glimmer star

Instructions:
Stamp the itty bitty spider image randomly over the gift bag using Basic Black ink.
Stamp the "Trick or Treat" sentiment on the Happy Haunting circle using Basic Black ink.
Attach the Spider Web Doily to the front of the gift bag using Liquid Glue or Glue Dots.
Place the long strip of Happy Haunting DSP on top of spider web.
Using Dimensionals, place the "Trick or Treat" sentiment in the center of the spider web.
Attach the Black Glimmer hat with Dimensionals.
Glue the Happy Haunting banner under the circle.
Attach the Silver Glimmer star with Dimensionals.

Now your treat bag is all ready to fill wit candy for someone special!!

Here is the 2nd bonus project:

This one is super simple. It's just a Curvy Keepsake box with a tag. I'm hoping my gals will get creative and add a little something too it. Maybe a green leaf. Or stamp some stripes on it to make it look more like a pumpkin. Go crazy!! And text me your finished projects so I can share them!!

That's it for my Howl-o-ween class projects. As always, I had a great time creating with my wonderful customers in mind.

If you would like to join one of my online classes, I have one going on right now.

Stampin' Up! Howl-o-ween Treat Skull and a little surprise!

Hey Stampin' Friends!

Today I am sharing my fourth and final card from my Howl-o-ween Treat Online Card Class. Plus I included a little "surprise" for all my class members.

Here is the fourth card:

Stamps: Howl-o-ween Treat
Ink: Basic Black or Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Very Vanilla, Tangelo Twist, Happy Haunting DSP, Rich Razzleberry DSP, Black Glimmer, Whisper White
Accessories: Boo to You Framelits, Arrows EF, Banner Triple Punch, Lots of Labels Framelits

Kit Includes:

1 - Very Vanilla card base
1 - Tangelo Twist embossed card front
1 - Whisper White sheet for stamping
1 - Happy Haunting banner
1 - Rich Razzleberry banner
1 - Black Glimmer "tombstone"

Instructions:
Attach the Tangelo Twist embossed card front to the Very Vanilla card base. I use Liquid Glue or Fast Fuse when attaching embossed card stock as it hold more securely.
Attach Happy Haunting banner to top-center of the embossed card front.
Glue the Rich Razzleberry banner to the center of the Happy Haunting banner.
Attach the Black Glimmer "tombstone" using Dimensionals.
Stamp the skull image using Basic Black ink.
Stamp two "bone" images using Basic Black ink.
Cut all both images using your Framelits.
Cut the "bones" in half.

Attach Dimensionals to the back of each piece. Then put a dot of Liquid Glue on each Dimensional. The Dimensionals do not stick well to the Glimmer Paper.

Attach the "skull and crossbones" to the card front.

And you are done!!

For each of my Online Class members this month, I included a little surprise in each one of the packages I mailed to them...

Some Tangerine Tango and Whisper White two-toned thick Baker's Twine!!

I don't know about you, but I rarely send out Halloween cards. I do like to put out a few "spooky" decorations however. I don't know if you noticed, but all the cards from this kit had a similar layout. I did that on purpose. Because if you are like me and probably won't mail out the cards, there is a Plan B...

Just cut off the back of the card. Use the Baker's Twine I sent you. And turn it into a Halloween banner!! How fun is that?!

So there was a method to my madness after all. ;)

And don't forget, there is still time to join my October Online Card Class...

I am offering an online class featuring the Vintage Leaves stamp set and Coordinating Leaflets Framelits. They are offered as a bundle on page 88 of the regular catalog.

Stampin' Up! Howl-o-ween Treat Boo!

Hey Stampin' Friends!!

Today is day number three for my Howl-o-ween Treat and Boo to You Online Class. Here is my card...

Stamps: Howl-o-ween Treat
Ink: Basic Black or Memento Tuxedo Black, Rich Razzleberry
Paper: Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Happy Haunting DSP, Silver Glimmer, Black Glimmer
Accessories: Boo to You Framelits, Lucky Stars EF, Banner Triple Punch

Kit Includes:

1 - Very Vanilla card base
1 - Basic Black embossed card front
1 - Whisper White sheet for stamping
1 - Happy Haunting DSP banner
1 - Black Glimmer "boo"
1 - Silver Glimmer "wand"
1 - Silver Glimmer "star"

Instructions:

Attach the Basic Black embossed card front onto the Very Vanilla card base using Liquid Glue or Fast Fuse.
Attach the Happy Haunting banner to the top-center of the card front.
Stamp the witch hat using Rich Razzleberry ink onto the Whisper White cardstock.
Stamp the itty bitty spider onto Whisper White card stock using Basic Black ink.
Cut out the hat and spider using the Boo to You Framelits.
Attach the witch hat to the banner suing Dimensionals.
Attach the Black Glimmer "boo" to the banner using Glue Dots, Liquid Glue, or the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.
Attach the "wand", "star", and itty bitty spider to the card using Dimensionals.

I omitted the Silver Thread you see in this picture because it didn't look right. I am loving the Black Glimmer paper that is in the Holiday Catalog. I'll take glimmer paper in ANY color. Wouldn't it be fun to have some spring colors to use for Easter projects?!

Helpful Hint...
When you use the thinner "word" Framelits/Thinlits, (like the BOO! cutout on this card) remember to place a piece of wax paper in between your cardstock and your die. This helps ensure that the cardstock will release easily from the die. You don't want to rip your cardstock trying to get it out of the die.

If you are interested in joining one of my online classes, I have one that is open right now:

Stampin' Up! Howl-o-ween Treat Owl

Hey Stampin' Friends!!

This week I will be showcasing all the projects I created for my September Online Class featuring the Howl-o-ween Treat stamp set and matching Boo to You Framelits. I will only be sharing one card per day instead of the regular two. This way I don't have to type as much each day, and you don't have to read as much or scroll so much.

So if you are a class member, you can either stamp one card per day this week, or wait until Friday when I will reveal the final project for this class. Your choice!

Here is the first card featuring the adorable owl image:

Stamps: Howl-o-ween Treat
Ink: Basic Black or Memento Tuxedo Black, Tangelo Twist or Tangerine Tango
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Gray, Silver Glimmer, Happy Haunting DSP, Rich Razzleberry retired DSP
Accessories: Boo to You Framelits, Banner Triple Punch, Spider Web Doilies, Woodland EF, 2 1/2" Circle Punch, Star Framelits

Kit Includes:

1 - Very Vanilla card base
1 - Basic Gray embossed card front
1 - Whisper White sheet for stamping
1 - Happy Haunting DSP banner
1 - Spider Web Doily piece
1 - Silver Glimmer circle
1 - Rich Razzleberry star

Instructions:
Attach the Basic Gray embossed card front to the Very Vanilla card base. I use Liquid Glue or Fast Fuse when attaching embossed card stock as it hold more securely.
Attach Happy Haunting banner to top-center of the embossed card front.
Glue the Spider Web Doily to the top-left corner of the banner. You can use Glue Dots or the new Fine-Tip Glue Pen.
Attach the Silver Glimmer "moon" using Liquid Glue.
Attach the Rich Razzleberry star using Dimensionals. You may have to put a little bit of Liquid Glue on your Dimensionals as they sometimes do not adhere well to the glimmer paper.
Stamp the owl image using Basic Black ink.
Stamp the pumpkin pail image using Tangelo Twist ink.
Cut out both images using your Framelits.
Attach both to the card front using Dimensionals.

One of the things I love about our Framelits is that you can stamp multiple images on one sheet of cardstock and then cut them out all at the same time using the Framelits.

Just remember to leave plenty of space between images so your Framelits have enough room to fit. Mine got a little cozy.

If you missed out on the Howl-o-ween Treat Online Card class you still have time to join my October class...

I am offering an online class featuring the Vintage Leaves stamp set and Coordinating Leaflets Framelits. They are offered as a bundle on page 88 of the regular catalog.
