Stampin' Up! Happy Scenes Fall

Hi Stamping Friends!!

Today is the fourth and final card in my Happy Scenes series. Did you notice the pattern?

Winter, spring, summer or fall
All you've got to do is call
And I'll be there
You've got a friend

Love me some James Taylor!! I dedicate this song to all my stamping friends. :)

Stamps: Happy Scenes
Ink: Early Espresso, Mossy Meadow, Delightful Dijon, Crumb Cake
Paper: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Pumpkin Pie, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Hearth and Home Framelits, Washi Label Punch, Burlap Ribbon, Jute (non-SU!)

Here is what each kit included:

This seemed to be a favorite at the class. The sky is a very simple technique. The colors are applied with a sponge. The Mossy Meadow "grass" is lightly "pounded" on and the Delightful Dijon "sunset" is swiped on. The pumpkins are colored with a Pumpkin Pie marker. You could get fancier with your "sunset" and add more color.

Here are all four Happy Scenes season:

Here is my "stamping selfie" from Sunday:

One of the gals accidentally got cut out of the pic. Sorry Chris!! :(
And another gal said that was the first selfie she had ever been in . :)
Such a fun day!! Can't wait for the next one.

Just a reminder...

Stampin' Up! Happy Scenes Summer

Hi Stamping Friends!!

Sharing my "summer" Happy Scenes card today from the class I did in Tulare County this past weekend. Such a fun group of gals. I miss seeing them every month but I'm so glad I got my "fix". Hoping to get back up there in February or March for another class.

My card today is a little different twist on the window card. Instead of looking out the window into a "happy scene", we are looking in the window from the outside.

Stamps: And Many More (I didn't even use Happy Scenes on this card!!)
Ink: Watermelon Wonder
Paper: Whisper White, Tip Top Taupe, Early Espresso, Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush, Vellum
Accessories: Hearth and Home Framelits, Brick Wall EF, Watermelon Lace, Itty Bitty Flower Punch, Bird Punch (leaves), Word Window Punch, Pearl Jewels

Here is what each kit contained:

This was a fairly simple card to put together. I put the vellum in front of the lace so it would appear like you were looking through a window into someone's home. I couldn't decide what color the "inside" of the house should be so I went with white. It also is a nice stark background for the bright flowers and really makes them "pop".

The sentiment comes from the And Many More sentiment set. It's a great set to have on hand because it covers a wide variety of special life events from new baby to retirement and everything in between.

I currently have an online class open and I would love for you to join!!

Stampin' Up! Happy Scenes Spring

Hey Stamping Friends!!

Today I am sharing my "spring" Happy Scenes card that we created at my Tulare County Class.

Stamps: Happy Scenes, And Many More (sentiment)
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride
Paper: Very Vanilla, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White, Blushing Bride DSP (retired)
Accessories: Hearth & Home Thinlets, Decorative Dots EF, Word Window Punch, Bird Punch, Itty Bitty Flower Punch, Pearl Jewel, Blushing Bride Ribbon (retired)

Here is what each kit contained:

To create the "grass", I stamped the image on the Whisper White and cardstock and on the Pear Pizzazz cardstock. I then cut the Pear Pizzazz piece and stamped some "flowers" onto the tree and near the base of the tree.

Next I embossed the Pear Pizzazz piece with the Decorative Dots EF. Finally I adhered the two pieces together. Then I added a few of the small pearls onto the tree which are hard to see in the photo.

I love how this turned out. Would be cute to use as a baby card as well.

I have an Online Card Class happening until October 19th.

Stampin' Up! Happy Scenes Winter

Hi Stamping Friends!!

I had a wonderful time at my Tulare County Class this weekend!! My T-town stamping peeps are the BEST!!!! I miss seeing them every month. So glad there is this thing called SOCIAL MEDIA so we can stay connected. :)

For this class we created a total of 7 cards. Four of them were made using the class set, Happy Scenes. I wanted to show how versatile this set is so I made each card with one of the four seasons in mind. Today's cards is the WINTER card:

Stamps: Happy Scenes
Ink: Old Olive
Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Mossy Meadow, Shimmery White, Silver Glimmer, Home for Christmas DSP
Accessories: Hearth & Home Thinlets, Sleigh Ride Edgelits, Softly Falling EF, Green Striped Ribbon, Washi Label Punch, Paper Doily, Window Sheet, Dimensionals

Here is what each kit contained:

Notice the pre-tied bows. Yeah. I'm a nice demo like that. ;)

I played around with making this a shaker card, but realized it would be too difficult to do at the class because of the level of difficulty. There just wouldn't be enough time to finish all 7 cards if I did. But I wanted to share it anyway, in case you want to make a shaker card yourself.

I used Dazzling Diamonds as "snow" and it stuck to EV. ERY. THING. I put in waaaayyy too much glitter the first time around and it made a huge mess.

It was like a glitter blizzard. Here is what it looked like before I added the glitter.

After this picture was taken, I added the glitter. I didn't realize it was too much until AFTER I stuck down the Dimensionals. So I tried to dump some out. But then it stuck to the Dimensionals as I was dumping it out. Then the Dimensionals wouldn't stick to the cardstock anymore and the glitter was falling out all over the place. So I ended up putting Liquid Glue on the Dimensionals so they would stick again.

Arrrggghhh!!! Can you feel my frustration?! And THIS is why we did NOT do a shaker card in class. ;)

This card has lots of pieces and elements so the level of difficulty was high enough. I did not need to add glitter to the equation. :)

If you would like to participate in one of my Online Stamp Classes, I have one have one going on right now.

I Love Luci!!!

Hey Stampin' Friends!!

I wanted to share a little story with you just to tell you how much I LOVE the Stampin' Up! community...

I planned a class for October using the Happy Scenes stamp set and Hearth & Home Framelits Bundle. I already had customers placing orders for these items to attend the class. When I received my bundle I only received the stamp set, not the Framelits. They were on backorder... until the day before my class!!! I knew there was no way I would get them in time to prep for my class. PANIC!!!!

I became a Stampin' Up! demonstrator in 2006. At the time I had no intentions of ever having any other customer besides myself. My sister was my upline and her customer base consisted of herself as well. We were strictly "hobby" demos. Until I found Splitcoast Stampers.

Splitcoast Stampers is a website that was started by a SU! demo that was moving away from her customers and her downline. In order to stay connected, she put this website together where they could share ideas and information. I'm not sure exactly when she opened it up to all stampers, but I'm sure glad she did!!

I pretty much learned most of what I know about stamping and Stampin' Up! because of the information freely shared at Splitcoast. (You shoud go check it out: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/Everyone has always been so helpful and encouraging. They have a separate "closed" section just for Stampin' Up! demos. And this is the only place I could think of to find help with my backorder issue.

I do not have an active upline so I have no other SU! demo to turn to when faced with a stamping dilemma. Except for Splitcoast. I've been a member since joing Stampin' Up! in 2006. I've bounced in and out over the years. I used to be a "regular" as in I was on Every. Single. Night. Now I just pop in occasionally to find out the latest news.

It was here that I came crying to my fellow demos for help. And help they did!!! Luci (love her!) graciously offered to send me her unopened Framelits if I would send her mine when they finally shipped. The amazing thing is Luci and I don't know each other. We've never met. We don't even live in the same state!! This total stranger trusted me simply because we are fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators. How awesome is that?!

It's nice to know there are still beautiful people in this world. And of course she sent a gorgeous card in the envelope too!!!

THANK YOU LUCI!!! YOU SAVED THE DAY!!!

So I finally can plan my Tulare County class for next weekend. I started playing around today and came up with my first card for the class. Here is a little sneak peek:

So excited for how this turned out!! I can't wait to stamp with all my stamping friends!!

And don't forget to go visit the gallery at Splitcoast too. They have every Stampin' Up! stamp set ever created listed in alphabetical order. It's awesome.

Thanks for stopping by!
Come again tomorrow when I will be announcing my October Online Stamp Class.
