Friday Mashup! Guest Designer

Hi Stamping Friends!!

Today I have the honor of being a Guest Designer for the Friday Mashup! challenge blog.  How fun is that?!!  This week they are doing a sketch challenge.  And what a great sketch it is!  Of course I had to pair it up with a color challenge, so I chose the colors from The Color Dare CD95 which are Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist, and Basic Black.

Stamps:  Vintage Vogue, Very Vintage Wheel, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper:  Whisper White, Basic Black, Marina Mist and Daffodil Delight Patterns Pack DSP
Accessories:  Little Leaves Sizzlet, Striped Grograin, Modern Label Punch, Brights Designer Button, Brads, Hemp Twine, Mat Pack, Paper Piercer

It was kind of nice to get out of the Valentine mode.  And it is finally sunny again so these flowers really make me yearn for Spring!!  This is such a classic sketch, with so many possibilities.  I hope you can play along with the Friday Mashup! challenge.  Stop by their blog and check out the terrific inspiration from their Design Team members.

I hope you can stop back by tomorrow for Sale-A-Bration Saturday, where I will be featuring one of the FREE sets from the Sale-A-Bration catalog... Bliss!

Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge #11

Hi Stamping Friends!!  I'm sorry for being such a stamping slacker, but I really have been enjoying my summer.  After returning from our RV road trip to Yellowstone, I volunteered to be one of the van drivers to take the Jr. High students from church, to Hume Lake Christian Camp.  'Course when your hubby is the Youth Pastor, you volunteer for a lot of things you weren't expecting to do.  :)  Though I can't complain too much since two of my three kids were going to camp, plus my hubby, plus it was in SAN DIEGO!!  Only bummer was we didn't see the sun at all.  Not one single time the entire week.  One day the high was only 65 degrees!  Now I wish I were back in San Diego.  It's supposed to be 104 today through Saturday here in the Central Valley.  Ugh!  I'll be staying inside with the AC, organizing my craft, homeschool, office, closet room.  I would take a before photo, but I'm too embarassed to show you what a mess it is!

Anyhoo!  You did not come here to find out about my poor homemaking skills, you came here to see some stamping.  Well, right now my stamping skills are not much better than my homemaking skills, so I don't like this card much at all.  I love the idea of red and yellow together, but it always somehow looks like Ronald McDonald to me.  And I just can't get past it.

VINTAGE VOGUE

See what I mean?  Too bad I don't know anyone that works at McDonalds.  I'm lovin' some of my new stuff out of the new catalog though.  The stick-on pearls and rhinestones are FABULOUS!!  I also used the new Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border.  But my most fave things from the new catty are the Big Shot Die Storage boxes.  Wow!  Are they gorgeous!  The outside fabric is a beautiful Early Espresso color and the inside paper lining is Certainly Celery.  Yummy!  That's the whole reason I'm having to re-organize all my stuff.  How funny is it when you get 4 new storage boxes and you end up having to re-do the whole room!

I hope you can join us this week over at the Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge.  And I hope to do a little more stamping after I get my stuff all organized.  That is unless I end up going away on some other unexpected trip.  :)  Hope you are enjoying your summer too!

1 Layout 2 Cards

Hi Stamping Friends!

Well I've been busy stamping this week.  I'm still catching up with all of my Cards For Missions packs that I need to get finished.  I made 10 packs of the Friends set.  This is my favorite set yet!  I'm also trying to make more cards for my two bakeries where I have my cards for sale, Goodies Cookies and The Frosted Muffin.  Both in Visalia, CA.  So I decided to combine both projects.  I've made 70 cards this week!  I used all the same layouts and just changed the sentiments and sometimes the main image.

Here's a card from the Friend Pack:

And here's a card for the bakeries:

Same card, just changed it up a bit and added a few little extras.  Birthday cards seem to be my best sellers at both bakeries.

The top card uses the Vintage Vogue set from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  The birthday card uses Happy Moments which you can get FREE now through March 31st through our Sale-A-Bration catalog.  The DSP is one of my all-time favorites, Raspberry Tart.   I was so sad to see it retire, along with all things Kiwi Kiss.

I've also been getting some items ready for the school sale at Central Valley Christian.  I have a huge scrapbook basket, a stamping basket and I'm going to make some Decor Elements tiles.  I have a few other ideas floating through my pea-brain.  I'm just glad that the sale isn't until the end of April.  Hopefully I'll have enough time to get them all done!

Belated Love Notes

Hi Stamping Friends!

In all my rush to get ready for my mission trip in January and then to actually go on the trip in February and recover from my trip in the beginning of March, I just now realized that I never shared the cards we made from my last card class called Love Notes.  How silly of me?!  And who really wants to look at Valentine's cards in March?  Well you do, of course!

I wasn't sure if I should drag these out and make five daily posts, or just give them all to you at one shot.  But I don't think I'll have time to make five different posts this week, so you'll get all five today for your viewing pleasure!

It's been quite awhile since I made these, but I'm sure they are all CASEd from someone, somewhere.  So thank you for your fabulous inspiration, if you were the original designer!

The ladies had a wonderful time creating these cards.  I just love my stamping friends!  We have such a fun time together.  If you live in the Tipton/Tulare/Visalia/Exeter area and want to come to my next card class on March 20th or 21st, email me and I'll give you all the details.

More Hostess Club Samples

Hi Stamping Friends!

After showing off my two lastest Hostess Club cards, I realized I never showed one of the cards from my Hostess Club in January.  This one was CASEd from an issue of Stampin' Success, the monthly magazine sent from Stampin' Up! to all of it's demos.  Just another perk of being a demo!

The card base is Soft Suede.  The Very Vanilla cardstock was cut with the Top Note die (one of my favorite dies of all time!). The flower images are from the Vintage Vogue set from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  They are stamped in Pretty In Pink and Regal Rose. The leaves are Certainly Celery.  The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set and is punched out using the Modern Label Punch.  Add a piece of Pretty In Pink satin ribbon and you're all done!  Quick, easy, and cute! Just another sample of why YOU should join my next Hostess Club beginning in July!  :)

See What You Are Missing!

Hi Stamping Friends!

Well it's been so long since I posted, I almost forgot how!  :)  I'll spare you all the details, but besides computer issues and life in general, I haven't had as much time as I've wanted to spend blogging.  I have been stamping though!  I wanted to show you a card from my recent hostess club and also from my Stamp Camp, which is tomorrow.  For those of you who live nearby, you can see what you are missing!

For my Spring hostess club, we practiced the Cracked Glass technique.  I love it for a pretty vintage look, which is perfect for the Vintage Vogue stamp set.  I gussied this card up a bit after the gals left.  I added the hat pin and pearls, and also the little rhinestone flower.  I still have room in my Monday night hostess club if you are interested!

This is a card we will be making tomorrow at my Love Notes class.  All the cards have a friendship/love theme.  This card is CASEd from Nancy Riley.  I love how it turned out.  I have eight gals coming tomorrow.  I'm really looking forward to it.  It's been awhile since I've had a camp.  I'll be having a birthday card class in March, for all you local gals.  Mark your calendars so you don't miss out!  Love the two different looks of these cards, even though it's the same stamp set.

I'd like to say I plan on keeping up with my blogging, but I'm heading to the Dominican Republic in two weeks on a mission trip, so I don't know how much time I'll have to visit all my blogging buddies.  Thanks for hanging with me!
