Birthday Cupcake

Hi Stamping Friends!

Today I have the final card from my birthday stamp camp:

This would be the card that caused the most ruckus among my camp partcipants.  They all loved it, but some gals just don't care to do so much fussy cutting.  And because I'm a "frugal" Dutch woman, I cut my card kits to the exact paper measurements.  That doesn't leave much room for error.  In this case, some of the ladies stamped the whole cupcake on the pink DSP and not just the top half.  Normally they would just flip the paper over and stamp on the other side.  But with DSP, the other side is a whole new pattern!  So a few ladies ended up with different colored frosting.  But they were good sports about it.  Sometimes I have a few scraps lying around that I'll give them, but I held this camp at my church and didn't think to bring any scraps with me.

The card base is Kraft.  The cupcake comes from the Crazy For Cupcakes stamp set.  The sentiment is from the Well Scripted set in the Occasions Mini catalog.  The blue paper looke like Tempting Turquoise, but its really Taken With Teal.  Just my normal bad lighting!  The DSP is from the Sweet Pea DSP pack.  I adore this pack of papers.  So many great girl AND boy patterns.  You rarely get that in one paper pack!  I'm debating if I should get another pack before April 30th.

Speaking of cupcakes... I visited both of the bakeries where I have my cards for sale: Goodies Cookies and The Frosted Muffin, both in Visalia, CA (in case you're ever in the neighborhood!).  Can you believe I sold 33 cards at each bakery?!!  I was pleasantly surprised.  Now I have a few more stamping dollars to spend in May when the Summer Mini catalog comes out.  Yay for new stamping stuff!!  I really need to visit the little bakery in our town and see if they would sell some cards too.  Can't hurt to ask!  I also need to make more cupcake cards, since they seem to be my best sellers, especially at the cupcake shop!

No News Is Good News!

Hi Stamping Friends!

Last week I told you to stop by on Monday, because I had some fun news to share.  Well... you'll just have to wait until tomorrow!  Silly me.  I got the days mixed up and I can't share until Tuesday.  I'm sure you're all just sitting on pins and needles in great anticipation to hear what the news is.  Well you'll just have to wait one more day!

In the meantime, I have two cards from my birthday stamp camp.  They both use the Happy Moments SAB set.  It's kind of a boy/girl version.

The images are colored using Watercolor Crayons and Blender Pens.  The DSP is from the Sweet Pea paper pack.  LOVE that pack!  The sentiment comes from Birthday Bliss, which you can get for FREE through the end of March with the Sale-A-Bration promotion.

Thanks for stopping by!
I hope you stop by again tomorrow!

Birthday Stamp Camp Card #3

Hi Stamping Friends!

Here's another card from my recent Birthday Stamp Camp.  It was the "guy" card for the day.  Why is it so hard to come up with great masculine cards?!  And it was also the easiest card of the day.  The ladies really appreciated that!

The card base is Pumpkin Pie that has been stamped with the splotch from Extreme Elements.  I just can't make a guy card with out using that set!  The Chocolate Chip strip has been embossed using the Distressed Texturz Plate.  The DSP is from the Sweet Pea Pack, AWESOME paper pack by the way.  The sentiment is from Four Square and is stamped in Taken With Teal.  The Twill Tape is the widest size that I cut in half along the length.  That's why it looks so frayed.  I just don't know how to use that wide stuff.  Simple and easy!

Be sure to stop back by on Monday when I will have some very fun news to share with all of you.  I'm so excited, I can hardly stand it!!!

Birthday Stamp Camp Card #2

Hi Stamping Friends!

Just a quick post today as I'm heading out to my little office job.  It's another card from my Birthday Stamp Camp.  This one was CASEd from the amazingly talented Lynn Put.  I just LOVE her style.  You've got to check out her fabulous blog: THE QUEEN'S SCENE.

This was a favorite of the class.  Evertone loved this card.  I also did an "up-do" version to sell at the bakeries.  This card didn't need much improving, I just added a little bling.

This card uses the set On A Pedestal.  The base is Chocolate Chip layered with Pretty I nPink.  The DSP is from the Sending Love pack in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  The stamp is colored with markers.  We used Going Gray for the pedestal, Chocolate Chip for the cake and Regal Rose for the frosting.

Hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Birthday Stamp Camp Card #1

Hi Stamping Friends!

I had a wonderful time at my Birthday Stamp Camps this past weekend.  I even had three new gals come.  How fun is that?!  I usually do a camp every other month.  Last year I did them every month, but it got to be too much with the busy life of my family.  Every other month works out perfectly.

This was my favorite card from the set of five cards.  The colors just make me smile.

I used the Sweet Pea DSP pack from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  The card base is Whisper White layered with Old Olive.  The Old Olive has been embossed with the Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plates.  The flower is punched out with the Extra Large Fancy Flower from the mini catty.  The stem is stamped in Old Olive and comes from the Sweetheart stamp set.  The birthday sentiment is from the set called A Little Birthday Cheer, which you can get FREE through the end of March with our Sale-A-Bration promotion!  It is punched out with the Modern Label punch.  I love punching out my sentiments.  Not only can you raise them with Dimensionals, you don't have to worry about stamping it straight!

I made an "up-do" version of this card, for the two bakeries where I sell my cards: Goodies Cookies and The Frosted Muffin, both in Visalia, CA.

I used a different print of the DSP, plus added a Pumpkin Pie Corduroy button and the Pumpkin Pie Striped Grosgrain replaces the regular grograin.  I also paper pierced around the edge of the image and added a brad to the sentiment.  The ribbon inside the button is a piece of retired Kiwi Kiss Twill.

I hope I have time to stamp today.  I'm neck deep in some baby shower invites that need to be mailed TODAY!  I really want to play in the ColourQ challenge.  I just LOVE the inspiration pieces that Arielle picks out!

Tween Birthday Boy and a Final Jingle!

Hi Stamping Friends!

Just thought I'd share the Tween Birthday Boy card pack I will be selling for my mission fundraiser.

I used Kraft cardstock for the bases and Kiwi Kiss, Basic Gray, Basic Black, Baja Breeze, and Very Vanilla for various elements.  The DSP is called Urban Oasis.  Bummer is it's retired!

And for the grand finale... the last Christmas Jingle card.  This is number 20 out of 20.  Remember, tomorrow is the last day to take advantage of the Early Bird special of $40.  After tomorrow, the price is $45 and includes all supplies to make 20 cards, plus envelopes, a glue stick, and a pack of Dimensionals.  What a bargain!

The cute ornament is made using the Delightful Decorations stamp set that is featured in the Holiday Mini Catalog.  It's punched out using the new Ornament Punch, also in the mini.
If you can't make it to stamp all 20 cards with me, I can make you a kit and send it to you.

Fall Inspiration

Hi Stamping Friends!

Today I have a card that was inspired by this photo from the Pottery Barn:

Isn't it gorgeous?!  It's a challenge from the Pals Paper Arts PPA9.  I love the colors of fall.  Green and brown being my two faves.  I've got different shades of the two all over my house.  I put together a quick card for this challenge, because I almost missed the deadline!  This card needs something, I just don't know what.

I kept it clean and simple.  The Always Artichoke Top Note panel reminds me of the vases in the photo.  The Really Rust and Crushed Curry leaves are a Sizzix die.  The little pumpkin is from the Autumn Harvest stamp set.  The sentiment is a current Level 1 Hostess set called Holiday Best.  The card base is Kraft cardstock.

And here's a Christmas Jingle card before I go.  Only a couple more left!

Hi Stamping Friends!

Didn't want you to think I've already abonded my blog!  So I thought I would post another Christmas Jingle card.

Remember, the Early Bird price of $40 is good until October 1st.  After that the price is $45.  Your registration payment must be received by October 15th.  I look forward to stamping with you on Nov. 14th and 15th!

I've got more mission card packs designed... Tween Boy Birthday and Tween Girl Birthday, but haven't taken any pics yet.  I've got a crazy busy week ahead and hope to be able to post them soon.

September Mystery Hostess Club Projects

Hi Stamping Friends!

Just thought I'd share pics of the projects we created Sunday at the Mystery Hostess Club gathering. If you missed your chance to join one of my clubs this time, new clubs will be forming in January. It's so simple to be a club member. Just agree to spend $25 per month for 6 months (this time it was $30 for 5 months) and during one of those months, you will have a chance at being the hostess. This means you will receive all the benefits of hostessing a workshop, but you'll never have to clean your house or harass your friends to do it! :)

Since Halloween is just around the corner, I chose to use my Halloween Frights set. We made three projects: a card, a banner and a favor box.

Can you tell I love my Big Shot?! The banner and box were made using Big Shot dies. The Only Orange pumpkin on the Fancy Favor box was made by punching out three ovals and layering them. The jack-o-lantern face is a stamp from the Autumn Harvest stamp set. The Green Galore stem is one of the flowers from the Boho Blossom punch. The sentiments on the card and box were punched out with the Modern Label Punch.
And the day would not be complete without another Christmas Jingle card. Remember, if you can't make the class, I can put a kit together for you and you can make the cards in the privacy of your own home!

Remember to check out Stampin' Addicts for more Stampin' Up! fun!

Quick Post!!

Hi Stamping Friends!

Just wanted to leave a quick post, as I'm short on time this evening. This first card is one I created for two challenges over at Stampin' Addicts, my new hangout. I love this website because it is almost entirely Stampin' Up! stuff, which I'm all about! This card is a combination sketch challenge and color combo challenge. I really love how it turned out!

The colors are Basic Black, Basic Gray, Pale Plum and Rich Razzleberry. Don't ya love it?! I never would have done this color combo on my own, that's why I love challenges... gets you outside your box. And we all know I need to get outside my box every once in awhile! The stamp sets I used are Just Jawing and Extreme Elements (a current fave!).

The second card is another Christmas Jingle card.

I really wish I was a better photographer, because these cards are so much cuter IRL! Anyhoo! Remember ther Christmas Jingle Early Bird Special ends October 1st!

PPA8 plus CTD60 equals a Double Challenge!

Aren't these colors fun?! So bright and summer-like. I was really excited to see the Color Throwdown challenge CTD60. I decided to combine it with the Pals Paper Arts challenge PPA8 which was to make a K.I.S.S. card. In other words Keep It Simple Stamper! :) Here was the challenge:

**Clean with lots of "white" space

**Simple Design

**Minimum time to create

**Limited Layer and Embellishments

This was VERY difficult for me to do. I always like to keep adding stuff to cards. I'm definitely a "more is more" kind of gal. Here's my card:

I think I took the "white space" stuff a little too seriously. It's not that I don't like this card, it just needs something MORE! :) But in staying with the challenge, I'm going to keep it simple. Maybe if I had added another ribbon loop. Maybe that would have helped. Or maybe I could have made the large Whisper White panel Barely Banana instead. Who knows! It is what it is. Obviuosly I was quite challenged with this challenge! I used the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set and finally opened my Butterfly punch. It works so awesome with this set. It's definitely a must have!

I also have another Christmas Jingle card to show you:

Hope to see lots of you on Nov. 14th and Nov. 15th at the Christmas Jingle Stamp Camp!

A Sketch and An Inspiration

Hi Stamping Friends!

On my trek to make some thank you cards, I decided to combine two challenges. The sketch challenge SSC116 comes from the Stamping 411 blog found HERE. Here's the sketch:

And the inspiration challenge comes from Makeesha Byl's blog Inkspirations found HERE. Here's the inspiration piece this week:

Make sure you check all the other challenge players on both blogs. It's one of the ways I've found some really awesome blogs. I love when I find a Stampin' Up! only blog. Especially if it includes a challenge!

So here's my card:

As you can tell, the colors really inspired me! I used Yo-Yo Yellow and Brilliant Blue. It was fun to work with Bold Brights. This is such a summery combo. Bummer is there isn't much in the way of embellishements in these two colors. I could only find the brads. The ribbon is really Summer Sun and it doesn't match as much as I would like, but it works! I used the stamp set Eastern Blooms and Matchbox Messages for the sentiment. The impressions folder is a new one out of the Holiday Mini called Petals-A-Plenty.

I also have another Christmas Jingle card from my upcoming Christmas Stamp-A-Stack:

Let me know if you are coming ASAP! Thanks for stopping by!

Diva Jingle!

Hi Stamping Friends!

I have two cards for you today. The first is for a fun Stampin' Up! only blog challenge at the Diva Coffe Break Design BLOG. It's been quite a while since I've done one of their challenges, so I decided to combine this week's color challenge DCBD144 with last week's sketch challenge DCBD143. The colors to use this week were: Soft Suede, Pale Plum, Bermuda Bay, and Rich Razzleberry. Quite an interesting combo. But I like it! This is what the sketch from the previous week's challenge looked like: And here's my card:

I flipped the sketch on it's side. I used the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set, because I thought the colors had a funky, modern feel to them and it made me think of this set. Plus I needed to dust it off as it hasn't gotten enough love lately! The "Thank You" sentiment comes from the Enjoy Every Moment Set. I'm still trying to make enough thank you cards from my birthday!

My second card for today is the 6th card from my Christmas Jingle Stamp Camp. Can't wait to see all of you in November!

Christmas Jingle #5

18 More Jingle Cards

Here's another card from my Christmas Jingle class. Remember, seating is limited, so you don't want to wait too long to reserve your spot!

This is one of my favorite cards in the set. Probably because it's one of my favorite layouts! There is no stamping on this card. All the pieces are die-cut stickers from the Christams Jingle Simply Scrappin' Kit. The sentiment is popped up with dimensionals to give it a little extra "wow".

I also was able to play along with the Sketch Challenge today over at Stampin' Addicts. I made a halloween card using Halloween Frights. I don't know why, as I do not normally send out halloween cards and I really need to be making some more thank you cards for the "BIG" birthday I just had. Well, I guess that just means I need to do some more stamping! This was a fun sketch to work with. I love playing in challenges and just recently started partcipating again. Hopefully life won't get too hectic and take away my fun! I used Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie and Rich Razzleberry for my solid colors. The DSP is Razzleberry Lemonade. Who knew a paper with such a cute name would work so well for a "spooky" card?! I tries my hand a sponging, but made a miserable mess of it. But I was determined to move on and left well enough alone. I do not have the cute fence wheel, so I ended up using my Right On Track wheel instead. Yes, I know it's supposed to be a train track, but doesn't it look like a fence to you too? I love when a stamp can multi-task!

19 Christmas Jingle Cards Left!

Here's another card for the Christmas Jingle class I will be having on Nov. 14th and Nov. 15th. The cost is only $45 to create 20 unique Christmas cards. Be sure to send in your registration payment today!

For this card I used the SU! Scallop Envelope die to hide an extra little greeting in. Too fun!

And here's another card I did for a challenge over at Stampin' Addicts. This was for a sketch challenge. I used the Razzleberry Lemonade DSP AGAIN! I just love that stuff! So fun and juicy! I'm really lovin' the new in color Melon Mambo. But Rich Razzleberry is a strong second. I haven't had a chance to play with Bermuda Bay yet, but I'm sure I'm gonna love it!

20 Days of Christmas Jingle

I'm putting together a Christmas Card Stamp-A-Stack using the Simply Scrappin' Kit Christmas Jingle. Each guest will be making 20 unique cards. The dates are set for November 14th and 15th. The cost is $45. I'll be showcasing each card thoughout the next few weeks, so you can see how fabulous all 20 cards will be! Here's the first card:

Payments for this class must be received by October 15th. Your payment is your registration. Can't wait to see you all there!

Today I have a bonus card. It's another card I did for a Color Challenge over at Stampin' Addicts. A beautiful combo of Rich Razzleberry, Chocolate Chip and Pumpkin Pie. I used a favorite stamp set called Season of Friendship. The DSP is another fave (aren't they all your fave!) called Razzleberry Lemonade.

I had so much fun stamping this weekend! It feels good to get "back in the saddle".
